A classic pair sits waiting for their next shuffle at the United Farmers Cooperative in Tamora, NE. Up front is SD18 IBCX 7309, a old Chesapeake and Ohio unit that still sports the colors of its last owner, the Indiana Railroad. Trailing is one of the many Conrail GP's that made their way to the Midwest after no longer being needed in Class 1 service. This GP8 rebuild started life with the Erie Railroad in 1950 as a GP7.
In late 2019, Watco Australia will commence operations in Queensland under a seven-year contract with GrainCorp. Eight locomotives from the National Railway Equipment Company and 128 wagons from China have been ordered. Watco has already established a major presence in grain haulage and provision of certain other rail services in Western Australia. Following privatisation, these were more or less the provence of Aurizon (ex. Queensland Rail) but over time, it has lost a lot of traffic tending to fall back to its now stated core business of minerals and associated industrial freight. The same has happened in Queensland where significant but often seasonal traffic has been lost or exited including sugar, North Coast intermodal (except on contract to Fox Logistics), grain, molasses, cotton etc.. Competitor Pacific National has tended to cherry pick some odds and sods (sugar) leaving most other traffic in limbo or lost to road. Aurizon however has just won the latest Qld. Government contract to continue cattle haulage for the next contract period. However, they have lost the grain contract with GrainCorp which has been awarded to Watco. This is a win for Queensland freight as there is a good chance that Watco will continue to expand and win marginal, lost and even new rail traffic. It has bought eight new locomotives, as depicted in this shot from the USA as well as repatriating a batch of ex. QR locomotives from South Africa. Watco is already operating under the new grain contract in Queensland.

“ A license to love, insurance to hold
Melts all your memories and change into gold
His eyes are like angels but his heart is cold
No need to ask, he's a smooth operator…”

Let’s hope so!
This photo of the new Watco WRA class (004 and two sisters) is at Brisbane’s Fisherman Island port facility with a further two locos out of shot waiting to be towed to Warwick where Watco have set up their base and reinvigorated a former railway precinct.
The Watco Australia WRA Class is an Australian diesel-electric locomotive, constructed by the National Railway Equipment Company in the United States for use on Watco Australia's upcoming grain services in Queensland.

We woke up at 3AM to catch a ferry to the hot air balloon launching location. We had to travel across the Nile in the pitch dark. The ferry operators drive as crazy as the car drivers in Cairo. It's always about the jostle to get the best location at the docks.
Unfortunately we didn't get to fly because of weather but we still had a good time cruising across the Nile.

Westland Lysander Mk III (Shuttleworth Collection). The Lysander's best known role was its use by the Special Operations Executive (SOE) with its remarkable short take-off and landing capabilities for clandestine night operations into occupied Europe, ferrying agents into and out of small fields marked out by the Resistance.

Yeah It's spring break and I got bored. I haven't actually sculpted in like 2 months, so the vest kinda sucks. The hood is E-tape, and the pouch on the right is supposed to be a canteen pouch, the pack pack is based off the TT 3 day assault pack.
All in all I think I did rather well considering he only took like an hour and a half to make. :3
Check out the rear view in the comments below, and don't forget to fave and comment. :)
God bless and have a fantabulous day.

I am very pleased with how my combat legs turned out. Credit for the design goes to Victor. Though the pocket needs some work.
Is the shot itself good though?
Comments mean more than favs.
SPW Operator .308 AK with the Chainsaw...Why? Because we can ;)
As a result of a few too many glasses of Jack Daniels, Sweetwater gunsmith Josh, developed the CLAW, or Chainsaw Like Assault Weapon; A heavily customized Saiga .308 rifle featuring ergonomics found on AR type rifles. The cornerstone of the CLAW is it's high-strength, Tacticool Chainsaw, Which can be used for cutting down or through doors, or sawing a insurgents chest in two, it's really up to you.
Comment if you want me to give the code for the SPW Chainsaw :)

Shooting tips
There are so many great "Street Shooters" on Flickr… They see something and they shoot the moment… most of the time with brilliant ease.
Then there’s the other scenario…
I saw this man and knew I had to have this shot… especially in this old style telephone booth; telephone booths that actually work are rare in New York City…
So what to do? I didn’t have my camera set up… you can walk away and shake your head or you can go back and ask permission to take the shot… I did the latter… But since he gave me permission, I knew I wanted to pose him. The first thing I did was to make sure his face was hidden… "Why?" you ask… This way I didn’t need to have a model release form signed.
The next thing was to make sure my white balance was correct. This shot was handheld so you must shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot!! and I mean shoot! I’m squaring up the shot as I’m shooting, taking a deep breaths. letting half breaths out and holding my breath to minimize the camera from shaking…
Here’s a big thing for me… please, when shooting this kind of shot, you must think of the lens you're shooting with. If you were to use a 10mm or a 20mm, the walls would not be straight.
Finally, practice your Photoshop techniques.

Friday 26th August 2022 - What could quite easily be 1992 or 2022; looking resplendent in retro Intercity Swallow livery. British Rail veteran Class 87 No. 87002 “Royal Sovereign” stands at London Euston having arrived from Crewe with 1Z40, the 1429 “Friday Charter” service.
With mainline Intercity operator, Avanti West Coast running a heavily reduced timetable, charter company Locomotive Services Limited, have decided to operate a charter from Crewe to Euston to Manchester via Birmingham to cater for the shoddy service provided by AWC.
What was once the back bone of the West Coast Mainline, now being the only UK mainline Class 87, 87002 takes a well deserved breather between duties.
