On 7 October 2018 we opened the doors of ESTEC, our technical heart in the Netherlands, and welcomed more than 7600 people on a day full of activities including meet-and-greet with astronauts, tours around our test rooms, learning about the science in science fiction, and about the activities ESA does in all its establishments around Europe and beyond.

The sound of the two non-turbo geeps working up the hill was music to my ears. It was made even better by full sun for this shot. This was a wonderful chase, and great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with some fellow railfans.
There are elements of this shot that I really liked, so I decided to get a bit creative with those things here. I haven't quite found my voice with portraiture yet, so this is really me trying to find that. Hope you guys like it.

This is a list of people I promised to customize for before closing indefinitely. I closed for several reasons, but most importantly because I'm very slow at carving and my full time job didn't allow me to work as fast as I wanted.
However as it turns out, I'll be unemployed for 6 weeks, starting last week of November.
If you're one of the people in this list, please let me know whether or not you're up to it for that period of time.
I'll try to include 15 people, so I'll open slots in mid November to fill in. The price will be $280 per slot. I'll keep you posted.
2017-01-15: One of the photos taken the other day when I visited the Milwaukee County Zoo. Stella took a big, large yawn as shown here. I was hoping to make a trip down to see the bald eagles on the Mississippi this weekend but ended fighting a bug that has knocked me out the last couple of days.

In late August 2024 an invite-only open day was held at Xelabus of Eastleigh to mark the opening of their new maintenance facility in Barton Park. The new facility was officially opened by Fred Dinenage of TV fame (ITV Southern and How!) and were treated to a building tour and shown examples of their fleet, some of which were brand new.
