week one: make a background
I chose the make a large painting because I usually stay as far away from them as I can. But instead of layering warm on cold, I flipped it. I like cool colors better.

Just my cat being sneaky and coming in through the window. Which he is not supposed to do. This cat is way too cool for you.

I get on the train and I just stand about now that I don't think of you
I keep falling over I keep passing out when I see a face like you
What am I coming to?
I'm gonna melt down
Blame it on the black star
Blame it on the falling sky
Blame it on the satellite that beams me home
This is killing me

Not until I was editing this image did I realize that this gull only had one leg...
As beautiful and wonderful as nature is, it is also often brutal and tough to survive in for many animals. It's amazing that maimed creatures like this often go on to survive and to carry on quite well despite their condition...
During the month of April 2007 Dublin City Public Libraries ask everyone in Dublin to read and talk about A Long Long Way.
One of the most vivid and realised characters of recent fiction, Willie Dunne is the innocent hero of Sebastian Barry’s highly acclaimed novel. Leaving Dublin to fight for the Allied cause as a member of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, he finds himself caught between the war playing out on foreign fields and that festering at home, waiting to erupt with the Easter Rising.

Foggy this morning as I got up to pack, there is lots of water in the gulf in Florida, but it does not look like the ponds in the late fall in Indiana.
My photographic style is about to change, hopefully the quality won't take long to improve.

This is on the side of a huge rock wall at the Hole N The Rock along highway 191 south of Moab. Lots of interesting things to look at, but it started pouring down rain shortly after we stopped and we didn't get to look at all of it. Here's some of the things we saw before we ran for the car.
Here are a couple inks if you want to see more about the Hole N The Rock.
One Raffles Place Tower One, originally known as OUB Centre or Overseas Union Bank Centre, was designed by renowned Japanese architect, Kenzo Tange. It is one of the three tallest skyscrapers in Singapore, sharing the title with the UOB Plaza and Republic Plaza.
At 280 m (920 ft), it was the tallest building in the world outside North America at the time of its completion in 1986, surpassing South Korea's 63 Building completed one year earlier, until it was succeeded by the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong. The building consists of two triangular structures with a small space between them
Singapore's highest sky terrace viewing gallery on the rooftop of Tower One provides panoramic views of the Singapore skyline, across the vibrant Marina Bay to the Straits of Singapore and beyond.
It is the highest rooftop viewing point in Singapore.
1-Altitude, at the top of Tower One, is the highest rooftop bar in Singapore and is the world’s highest al fresco bar. Occupying the three topmost floors of One Raffles Place Building, 1-Altitude comprises three different concepts—an al fresco gastrobar called 1-Altitude Gallery & Bar on level 63; a European restaurant named Stellar on level 62 and a sports bar named 282 on level 61.
A new Tower Two was opened in 2011 with 38 floors. Upon completion of the new tower the complex was officially renamed One Raffles Place. The 38-storey commercial tower, comprising 360,000 square feet of prime Grade A office space, brings the total office, retail and entertainment space offered by One Raffles Place to 860,000 sq ft.
Tower Two was designed by internationally renowned Japanese architect, Paul Noritaka Tange, son of Professor Kenzo Tange, who designed the first tower and UOB Plaza – two of the tallest buildings in Singapore.

This is my mum and Jane walking away from going up to the cemetery.. I went twice. Once just me and my mum and once with Jane, Mum and my camera. It's pretty up there so why not?
Whilst we were up there we found a man looking at one of the names on the wall and as we approached him to get past he turned to me and my mum and held out his phone asking if I'd take a photo for him. I obviously obliged and he explained that the names on the wall were that of his grandparents. He'd come all the way from Australia just to see their names on that wall. It was amazing.
I miss her. So much more than I ever thought I would.
I love you. <3
Taken at Lorikeet Landing at the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. This area is quite popular. and people line up to buy cups of food to feed these wonderfully colorful birds.
