It's a very old wall, but it does not mather for them !

This is at one of the two other turnouts we stopped at going east on Rim of the World Highway (California State Route 18) between Crestline and Rimforest on this spectacular morning where snow and ice stuck to trees and branches but not to the ground. The lovely and talented Miss KoKo took this photo.

A sculpted brass doorway into the Sagrada Familia. Every column, row, and any 2x2 square within it, as well as the 4 corner numbers, all add up to 33 (the age Jesus lived to).

Four months old now, Wyatt's ears are apparently settling into a balance of one-up and one-down.

Keep your head up! hugs, Peter.

Tragedy.

More sheep pictures! The negatives on these are filthy, for some reason. Please disregard the dust specks. Shot with the Yashicamat using probably expired Kodak Tmax 100 film, developed in Diafine. Baa!

Day 173

I took Celyn to see "Kung Fu Panda" today and it turned out to be quite a laugh. I did take a shot in the cinema but the quality is just too bad to use so it came down to this one. It's a bit soft focus, I think because the lens was smudged for some reason and the light from my desk lamp migt be hitting in just so. I quite like the effect somehow.

A funny, but wrong, writing on a plate.

From Megahouse this plate would like to say: "one moment please, one coffee please", but there are two spelling errors.

First "per fOvore" instead of "per fAvore" (please, in english) and "Moment" (instead of "momento") in Italy is a pill for headache!!

That's what the sign says (the name of this restaurant, I guess.) So, do you think the "roses on a trellis" part of the mural was done at a different time from the "geometric abstract frog thing" part of the mural? Or did someone decide that those two designs would go together really well?

Tonight I decided to try several shorter-length exposures and then stack them together to see if I got better results.

Each exposure was of around 5 minutes. So that was fun...

Anyway, this is a crop of the stacked image. How come the first exposure gave me a clear sharp line, but every consequent one is wobbly as buggery?

Shots were taken in 'identical' conditions. I'm just amazed at how 1 shot was perfect and 11 were constantly wobbly for all 5 minutes each.

Any ideas?
