This is surely one of the most spectacular exhibitions I've ever seen. Steve Bloom's work is stunning, if you love nature, or even if you don't I bet you are going to be gobsmacked by the amazing photographs of wild life on its best.
Here is the official web site where you can see more of his work, check out the exhibition is passing by (if you are lucky, you even might get it visiting your city), buy print's and books of this stunning compilation of wild animals on their own habitat which is being taken away from them by the most stupid animal of all ... we humans.
Over the past twelve years, Steve Bloom has emerged as one of the world's leading photographers of the living world. his expressive and evocative photographs of wild animals in their natural surroundings have earned him several international awards, and his books have been published around the world. Outdoor Photography Magazine described his book, Untamed, as "the best case yet for the defence of the Earth", and Lufthansa Magazine called Elephant a "declaration of love".

This is one of my several pair of Chucks. The uppers are somewhat nicely torn, but the principle feature is the separation of the outsole from the uppers, adhesive failure.
It appears that Converse had an issue with the adhesive they used to glue the rubber together on most or all of the Chucks (and possibly other models) they manufactured for several years early in this century.
I've seen quite a few pair from that era with the outsole having come unglued from the rubber band around the bottom of the upper, as these are. Apparently, many wearers don't mind the loose soles, at least until they start actually flapping. It was not unusual to see one entire side split open, exposing someone's socks as they sat with their legs crossed.
And, like them, I'm still wearing these regularly.
