This is the "Blue Water Bridge" that connects Michigan and Canada. I was in Port Huron, MI recently and this shot was taken in high winds, a rainey mist, and in 32 degree weather out of the car window...Brrrrrr! But it was worth every moment! Just like this picture, lot's of warm memories of being there :) Have a great week! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Water_Bridge

...and I had a monster of a camera. While cleaning some of my toy collection from a friends garage, he happened to mention that he was building a single speed bicycle. I mentioned that I had an old wheelset in my truck (and really...who doesn't?) and he mentioned that he had an old camera in his nightstand (which I found odd). Next thing I knew I had this beast in my possession. Some days are just like that.
The film box should give you a sense of the size of this beauty.
This is a one-lane tunnel on Pearson Falls Road near Saluda, NC. I definitely don't condone graffiti, but I really did like the color that it provided to this winter day.
Jardines del Buen Retiro or Parque del Buen Retiro, literally "Gardens" or "Park of the Pleasant Retreat," or simply El Retiro. It is the one of the largest parks in the city of Madrid, Spain.
I had the last part of a Root canal procedure on Wednesday and only feeling like myself again today. How one small little tooth can cause so much pain, I do not know. So I pick the road where there is no dentist and root canals! :)
Have nice weekend!

Billy relaxing in his private cat pen. He really uses his personal refuge intensively. We have officially established that Billy is a nocturnal outdoor cat rather than an indoor one. For a long time I was able to get him back in when we went to bed, but that gradually became more difficult. Once inside, he would then wake us (read:ME) up a few hours later, forcing me to usher him out again in the middle of the night.
After a lot of broken nights we have now come to a more comfortable arrangement, both for him and for me. We now allow him to stay out at night and he rewards us by offering us a few mice every morning. When I turn the key in the back door in the morning, he mostly comes running from somewhere in the garden. More and more often he's fast asleep in this pen. Let's hope this arrangement will work out well for all concerned.
