"Chassis number: CSBFSD49431389056. This ex-South African Ford Cortina MkIII, with 2.5-litre ‘Essex’ V6 engine, is described by the vendor as a running, driving light project that is very solid all around and has had its suspension polybushed. While built in 1976, it was only UK-registered in October 2023. Its odometer shows 95,245 miles and three registered keepers are recorded by the V5C since it came to the UK. There's no current MoT (or record of the car ever having had one), but as an historic vehicle, the Cortina no longer requires annual MoT-testing. The vendor reports that it has no-known issues, having recently been serviced and tuned. There's no paperwork with the Ford, just the V5C. The car also comes with spare keys."

VX55OBU on hire to East Yorkshire Coaches from Plaxton Coach Sales at Anston, Sheffield. Quite ironic really how it was part of the EYMS group a few months earlier under the Whittles of Kidderminster part and now has returned back to EYMS.

Taken on Kodak 64 slide film, using a compact 35mm Olympus XA camera.
These rather old-fashioned looking vehicles were quite common in the early 1990s but now they are only kept as museum pieces in a few cities, e.g. Pardubice, Ostrave. However, they still operate in countries such as Georgia and Ukraine. Several of the Zlin vehicles,probably including this one were sold to Pazardžik in Bulgaria, where they were still operating in 2006. Jihlave no 11 was the last 9Tr operating regularly in the Czech Republic, only being withdrawn on 30 May 1997.
Route 5 has also been withdrawn subsequent to this picture: at that time it connected Sportovní hala with Bartošova čtvrť.
