What were the event surrounding Christ's Resurrection? I would like to and briefly number them as I go along, identify the events that took place from early morning of Easter Sunday until Christ was ready to ascend to His heavenly Father. First, and before everything else, it is the fact that Our Lord first appeared to His Mother. No one surely no one who has made the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius should dare question that Our Lady was the first witness of her Son's Resurrection from the dead. There are saints who attest to the fact, I've got four Doctors of the Church who attest to the fact, St. Ignatius and now we have the present Holy Father. That's enough for me. All right, so Our Lord's Resurrection from the dead is not recorded in the Gospels as having been first revealed to Our Lady. What's the explanation? Says Ignatius; It's obvious, surely, says Ignatius, the one who gave her Son His mortal body must have been the first to have witnessed and embraced that same now glorified Body of her Son. With that as a prelude, now we start counting.

We were very pleased with the number of butterflies seen on this beautiful, pleasantly warm day—not humid or hot, but nearly perfect. The wealth of plants and variety of flowers makes for great opportunities to see these exquisite creatures.

Pond life with creatures of the animal kingdom or plants, offer so much beauty for one to appreciate. Although not on a grand scale, the activity within the simple setting is truly phenomenal. When we visit such landscape to observe and/or photograph, the endless wealth of subjects is truly astonishing--just stop and really look, and you would marvel at the things you will see.

This garden, nestled amongst hills and brooks, is like the proverbial Garden of Eden. Incorporating the natural landscape and creating a truly enchanting garden around it makes this place a MUST VISIT site for anyone with a sense of appreciation for nature in a quiet way. Nothing pretentious, but so much can be seen and learned from each outing. The bucolic setting will put your heart and soul at ease, and quickly remove the stress of everyday life—at least, while you are there.

The vast collection of trees and plants is incredible, and the landscape garden planning and design is of superb presentation and care. Wildlife such as birds, insects, amphibians and reptiles can be seen regularly and the pure air of life emanates throughout this lovely terrain. The brooks and ponds are rich with activity and whether you enjoy photography or not, just being there is reward enough.

Situated in Far Hills of Somerset County of New Jersey, this hidden gem is worth the trip. Upon your first view, you will know instantly that this is a special garden, unique unto itself . . .

I just liked the shape of those branches and that fence of number 53, Zuidereinde, near Hilversum in the Netherlands.

I was wondering, at the 11th hour, what the heck I was going to use for the "Number 3" challenge. And then there I was... in Aisle #3 at the grocery store, looking for cereal! Bingo!

And that's a wrap! Round 111 is now complete!

ANSH111 - 16. The number 3

Photographs of Alaska by Galen Rowell, with text by John McFee from his "Coming Into the Country." These limited, signed, deluxe issues of first editions often become quite collectible with noticeable appreciation, especially, as in this case, the authors are notable. In addition, Rowell has written a presentation inscription in this copy. Available for purchase.
