Fascism and socialism are getting thrown around a lot right now, maybe we should look up what they really mean.
Zero existed in ancient cultures as a mark of an empty space but not as number. Even today it still plays this role: zero before the one informs the viewer that still there are no units , as well as in ten . In the 100 it announces that on the second place from right there are no tens. in 1000 it announces that in the third place from right there still are no hundreds...
Zero came into use many thousands of years after the rest of the numbers, which means that people managed throughout that period without it, without even missing it. Among the integers zero is an outstanding number:
Zero is one, but it is not seen as one because it is not visible.
Any number from one onwards contains units except zero . Zero , although it is one contains no one.
Each number can divide and multiply except zero .
Each number can reincarnate by adding itself nine so that it may appear again in the sum of the digits of the new number - except zero .
Each number has its own content ( the sum of the numbers from one to it) except zero.
Zero exists before we count, but all the other numbers exist only after we started to count.
Same as one zero has no parts, and in this feature they are both different from the other numbers.
On the other hand :
Zero on the ruler is a line, or a point, or a place, and is tangible as any other number.
If any number is created from its predecessor by adding one unit then zero is no exception since it creates the first number by adding one to itself.

Walking into an old shop with relics and antiques in China Town, the old Chinese man handed the minipimp an umbrella.
"Ah yes, 'mbella you want? That be 5 dolla", said the man that seemed to be about 500 years old. The young girl handed the man her weekly allowance.
This was it thought the girl. The ad in the newspaper clipping she found on the city streets claimed that this umbrella was magic.
"Yes yes you see right here you just wave around like this kay? You do real good kay honey?", said the man in a very fast voice while waving around the umbrella. Minipimp assumed this was his way of giving instruction on how to use it.
"Seems easy enough", she thought to herself.
So the little girl walked outside and down to the end of the block. She twirled the umbrella around. She waved it up and down. She tapped it against a building. She shoved it into a hole made for recycled cans. She twirled it, waved it, and bounced it.
Nothing.
And just as she was about to give up, she looked over at the shop she purchased this umbrella. And inside the display she saw the Chinese man. And from she could make out, he kind of winked at her. She found this most bizarre because it was not the kind of expression you would typically get from an old Asian man.
But just as he did, he seemed to disappear. Or maybe he fell. Or maybe she wasn't seeing it correctly through the stained glass window. She wasn't sure.
But what she does know is that the minute the man seemed to disappear, something actually appeared on the umbrella.

Western North Carolina’s Pigeon River, home to the endangered Appalachian elktoe mussel, is also home to an annual Kids in the Creek event, hosted by local watershed group Haywood Waterways. This year, over the course of three days, every eighth-grade student in the county visited the Pigeon River, where they rotated through a number of educational stations focused on stream health. Stations included watershed health, water chemistry, fish, and macroinvertebrates. Because the river is habitat for an endangered mussel, for years now the Service has helped with the macroinvertebrate station, leading students in the collection and identification of stream insects and other invertebrates.

We are back from a whirl-wind trip to Disneyland and Lego Land in southern California. We drove from Tucson to Utah and picked up 2 rambunchous little boys then on to Los Angeles for our Disney adventure. We spent a full day at Disneyland. Bright and early the next morning we drove south to LegoLand for another full day of fun. Oh my aching feet! After leaving LegoLand we hit the road and headed back to Tucson for a quick visit before driving the boys to their parents in Utah.
