Think it reads SD224728. SD stands for the Medico model. Not sure why. 22 s for 22" weaving width. 4 is for 4 shafts. Think it is 72. Which means she was born in 1972. And the 8 is for made in August, my birth month. It doesn't seem to mean the # for the year as suggested somewhere else.
Fleet number 1054 was seen on Princes Street working route 113 from Pencaitland to Western General Hospital. This route has operated under a number of different brands while operated by Lothian and has seen its western terminus change twice. From 06 April 2025, it will change again with the terminus being switched to Haymarket.

Trackside sign on the spur leading to the sidings at Cricklewood. Probably means something to the train drivers but seemed fairly arbitrary to me.
