This was one of six buses acquired in 2002 from Essex Buses Ltd - 201 - 206 (L671, 673, 675, 676, 678 & 679 RMD) that were 671, 673, 675, 676, 678 & 679 with their previous owner. They became 40964, 40882 - 40886 in the FirstGroup national numbering scheme.
Were these buses belated replacements for the 1995/1996 Dennis Darts 201 -206 (N201 - 206 VSA) which were withdrawn in summer 2001?
Was out of sequence fleet number 40964 a late allocation because 201 (L671 RMD) was out of use when the numbers were issued?

Amtrak number 4 the eastbound Chief running about 6 hours late at La Plata due to a derailment. The passengers on the platform had been waiting all this time. The station construction is to add ADA compliant platforms and make some improvements to the former Santa Fe building. (186701)*

I am Assah Thamby. I live in Kuala Lumpur. When I was coming out of Murugan temple at Batu Caves, I heard some gun shots and a group of people chasing a man into a restaurant close to the parking area. Then I saw a huge group of people rushing in to see what was happening. I got panicked and tried to join them, but there was a barricade. Then I was looking around and I saw some people laughing about it saying its a film shoot of Telugu movie 'Billa' remake of Tamil one. I was relaxed and I thought its fun to watch a movie shoot, so making most of the time, I lighted a cigarette, and stood there with my daughters for a while.
Among the film crew, an Indian photographer caught my eye, to my surprise he came up to me and asked if he could take a picture of mine. I said yes, he clicked a picture, and he didn't stop there. He said he wants to take some more shots while I was smoking. For the last one he wanted a serious face, then I figured what he was looking for. I asked him 'like a crooked fellow?'. He was too happy for what I said and immediately said 'yes, thats the one'. He showed those few pictures to us and asked my name and e-mail ID so that he can send the shots. I told him my name, but I don't have an e-mail ID. My daughter gave him her e-mail ID.
Western had a number of six axle Pullman minibuses for Strathclyde access services. After contract changes, three came to Dumfries and were used on new Dumfries & Galloway services in Lockerbie and Dumfries. 275 and 278 can be seen in Western colours. A Dodge S56 is behind.
The Dodge 56s were less reliable than the 608s but were retained longer as they could carry more passengers

Saturday, 16 June 2018: The New England Southern Railroad (NEGS) crew heads Northbound through Caboose Village with SW1500 2555 and two loads of clay slurry. Half way through 2018 and this was only the third train of the year for this vetenable New Hampshire Shortline. Sadly this was not an uncommon occurrence as the railroad would only handle about 12 revenue cars a year for their sole customer 3M corporation.
However, things would soon be turning around for the railroad and this train would be a hint of things to come as they would spend their morning spiking ties on the South End of the branch. Although a common occurrence on most railroads NEGS only made spiking runs a couple times a year as they would use the locomotive as a giant air compressor for their home made spiker. NEGS would make many runs this year as they stuffed in a few new ties and buttoned up the line for a 6,000 foot military train that would ply the rails in just under a month. The train would be loaded at the railroad’s Canterbury Yard by the New Hampshire National Guard for a training exercise in Grayling Michigan.
After the spiking at MP C3 was done they would continue South to Pan Am Railways Concord Industrial Track in Concord where they would pick up their two loads seen here. They then would head North 23 miles on the White Mountain Branch to the Lochmere Runaround in Tilton where they would put the locomotive on the other end of the train. After the runaround was complete they would head back South to 3M to spot the loads and pull the empties before running South again to Canterbury Yard to tie down for the day. The crew would finish their trip to interchange the empties the next day along with trimming brush along the line for better visibility of where their military train would spend the night.

Beamish, the North of England Open Air Museum is an open-air museum located at Beamish, near the town of Stanley, County Durham, England. The museum's guiding principle is to preserve an example of everyday life in urban and rural North East England at the climax of industrialisation in the early 20th century.
Much of the restoration and interpretation is specific to the late Victorian and Edwardian eras, together with portions of countryside under the influence of industrial revolution in 1825. On its 350 acres estate it utilises a mixture of translocated, original and replica buildings; a huge collection of artifacts, working vehicles and equipment; as well as livestock and costumed interpreters.
The museum has received a number of awards since it opened its present site to visitors in 1972 and has been influential on other "living museums". It is a significant educational resource, and helps to preserve some traditional north-country and rare livestock breeds.

Hood was replaced due to collision - the license plate and bumper still appear dented. The hood now doesn't have a unit number after being replaced.
This is Day 2 of my "76 Days of Summer" Project.
The big number 2. The day that means, it wasn't just one photo I took the day before, this is the start of a continuation. The ability to say I will do something, and for once in my life follow through with it.
So how did I spend, day number 2?
I finished watching all of "Suits" that Netflix has to offer, and started watching "Orange is the New Black", which just doesn't seem to fill the void.
Same try done with my previous pic’ (Ant’walk). The ring flash is "writing" a kind of 8 (like the number of a runner of a marathon).
Don’t hesitate to zoom on this fly’s eyes. I was impressed of all the captured details (it’s a single capture photography).
At last, summer comes to Edinburgh! On one of the sunniest and most pleasant days of the year so far an unbroken blue sky provided perfect conditions to capture photographs of Lothian's twelve new Airlink 100 buses in blue.
Taken from the Royal Bank of Scotland's Gogar Bridge Volvo B5TL / Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 number 430 (SA15 VTJ) raced along the A8 at a speed that should open up the engine nicely. The new vehicles have been described by a few drivers as "a bit sluggish", but of course the smaller engine size will make a difference so this was perhaps to be expected.
The view to the rear is of Corstorphine Hill and 430 is having a race with a cute little thingy from another bus company somewhere else - looks quite smart actually!

Metra's "newest" and highest-numbered F40, number 217, (ex-VRE and Amtrak) teams up with their "newest" and highest-numbered F59: freshly-rebuilt number 99. The pair accelerates up the grade at Noble Street, Chicago, on a Milwaukee District run of some sort.

The Fibonacci Numbers are closely related to the golden ratio, and thus they also play a prominent role in exalted natural and artistic compositions!
I'm working on a far deeper book titled The Golden Ratio Number for Photographers. :)

The golden ratio is oft known as the divine cut, the golden cut, the divine proportion, the golden number, and PHI for the name of the architect of the Parthenon Phidias. It has exalted classical art on down through the millennia and it can exalt your art too!
