Leslie is a large village and parish on the northern tip of the River Leven Valley, to the west of Glenrothes in Fife. The village was granted burgh of barony status by James II in 1458 for George Leslie who became the first Earl of Rothes. Later, this was upgraded to a police burgh in 1865.
Leslie is a linear settlement with the historic high street as its main focus. A large proportion of housing in Leslie is traditional however there are concentrations of more contemporary housing in the west of the village. The high street contains a number of community facilities including shops, pubs, restaurants and a dentist. Leslie also has a primary school which is located in the west of the village. The former Fettykil paper mill lies within the Leven valley to the south and historic Leslie House, former stately home of the Earls of Rothes, sits in large grounds to the south-east of the village within Riverside Park (gutted by fire in 2009)
The town is a key destination on the Fife Pilgrim Way- a historic walking route for pilgrims making their way to St Andrews. [Wikipedia]

Number 8 was one of the ex Bournemouth Corporation Tramway open top trams, they were numbered 6-15 in the Llandudno & Colwyn Bay fleet.
The picture does lean left but to correct it would mean losing some of the street scene with the two ladies crossing and behind them the fruit shop and a Bedford CA parked with two wheels on the pavement. In front of the tram North Wales Floorings seems to be a general decorators shop and the sell Permoglaze paints. This brand was my father's favourite, he worked on the principal that the stronger the smell the better the paint and Permoglaze did smell...

Azienda Trasporti Milanesi S.p.A. (ATM): the articulated trolleybus number 127 in a driver training course.
The 100-132 series of Milano ATM articulated trolleybuses were built by Socimi on FIAT frames (model 2480) between 1990 and 1994, with electrical equipment of AEG.
The reason the grain empties was "creaking" through town is evident in the condition of this track...the NorthWestern's main route between the Twin Ports and the Twin Cities. If you're a purist, this is actually the Chicago St.Paul Minneapolis & Omaha - "The Omaha" - and it still exists in various business dealings and contracts as such, many years after it officially disappeared around 1960. If you see a Union Pacific covered hopper with the initials "CMO" above the number, it's actually an "Omaha" car. The VW with the Nebraska plates on the right is mine, of course.

I am Assah Thamby. I live in Kuala Lumpur. When I was coming out of Murugan temple at Batu Caves, I heard some gun shots and a group of people chasing a man into a restaurant close to the parking area. Then I saw a huge group of people rushing in to see what was happening. I got panicked and tried to join them, but there was a barricade. Then I was looking around and I saw some people laughing about it saying its a film shoot of Telugu movie 'Billa' remake of Tamil one. I was relaxed and I thought its fun to watch a movie shoot, so making most of the time, I lighted a cigarette, and stood there with my daughters for a while.
Among the film crew, an Indian photographer caught my eye, to my surprise he came up to me and asked if he could take a picture of mine. I said yes, he clicked a picture, and he didn't stop there. He said he wants to take some more shots while I was smoking. For the last one he wanted a serious face, then I figured what he was looking for. I asked him 'like a crooked fellow?'. He was too happy for what I said and immediately said 'yes, thats the one'. He showed those few pictures to us and asked my name and e-mail ID so that he can send the shots. I told him my name, but I don't have an e-mail ID. My daughter gave him her e-mail ID.

Western had a number of six axle Pullman minibuses for Strathclyde access services. After contract changes, three came to Dumfries and were used on new Dumfries & Galloway services in Lockerbie and Dumfries. 275 and 278 can be seen in Western colours. A Dodge S56 is behind.
The Dodge 56s were less reliable than the 608s but were retained longer as they could carry more passengers

Ansel Adams is not only my favorite photographer, but he is one of the greatest photographers and artists of all time. And just like great artists including Michelangelo, Monet, Degas, Renoir, Leonardo da Vinci, Vermeer, Rembrandt, Botticelli, and Picasso, Ansel used the golden ratio and divine proportions in his epic art.
Not so long ago I discovered golden regions in many of his famous public domain his 8x10 aspect ratio photographs. I call these golden harmony regions "regions of golden action" or "ROGA"S, as seen here:

C654LFT was a Leyland Olympian ONLXB/1R / Alexander RH Type H45/32F purchased new by Tyne & Wear PTE as their number 654 in March 1986. It passed to Stagecoach with the business and saw service with Stagecoach Western and Magicbus initially numbered as 905. It would later pass to McKindless of Wishaw for further service.

Denver, Colorado. Twenty-four hours a day the sparks from acetylene torches of steel workers in eight Denver fabricating plants are flying thick and fast that the U.S. Navy may carry the battle to the enemy in all parts of the world. Here in secluded Denver, the world's largest city not on a navigable waterway, this war production worker, who has never seen a battleship or an ocean, fashions the steel hull parts which are being assembled at Mare Island Navy Yard--1,200 miles from where he and his fellow wokers are on the job to help "keep 'em sailling."

This is a beautiful wooden relief carving telling a number of tales about the ancestors. Taoism is a religious and philosophical system that dates back at least 2,500 years.
It stresses living in harmony with the Tao (or Dao), which means "The Way". The whole emphasis is on finding a truly balanced life and this is well known in the modern West through the symbol of Ying/Yang.
Perhaps the greatest early teacher of the Tao was Lao Tzu (a 6th century BC contemporary of Confucius, and interestingly enough of Gautama Buddha in India). This was a time known to historians of religion as "The Axial Age". Lao Tzu's most significant contribution to Taoism was his writing known as, "Tao Te Ching".
This is Day 2 of my "76 Days of Summer" Project.
The big number 2. The day that means, it wasn't just one photo I took the day before, this is the start of a continuation. The ability to say I will do something, and for once in my life follow through with it.
So how did I spend, day number 2?
I finished watching all of "Suits" that Netflix has to offer, and started watching "Orange is the New Black", which just doesn't seem to fill the void.
