As you can see, these apples are not perfect. They can't sell them, so they used them for making syrup ! But .... this fruit is sooo good !
Old Steamsyrupfactory of Borgloon, Cultural heritage
The old Steamsyrupfactory of Wijnants-Groenendaels in Borgloon is one of the last remainders of the industrial processing from fruit to syrup. Borgloon was at the end of 19th and the beginning of the 20th century the cradle of the syrup production.
Fruit of Haspengouw was processed to syrup, firstly still old-fashioned, later in an industrial manner. The factory from 1878 - 23 workers in 1959 - have equipped still entirely, stands on an old station complex and lies on walk distance from the center. Since 1988 no more syrup was flowing
The old factory, fallen into disrepair and rare witness of the syrup industry which ensured prosperity, touched in decline, was finalist in a monument s struggle in 2007 and became the winner of this television price and got the modernization premium of 500,000 euro.
A first realization: in April 2009 the “Loonse” square at the factory was inaugurated. At that moment also confessed that the restoration file for the site has been ended and the sum of 314, 344, - euro should be available soon. And small-scale, they make syrup again (2x apple, 1x pear and sugar beet) and … it is delicious !

I'm struggling this week with the "Colour Purple" but in this case I am of the opinion the lavender colour (see below colour version) is purple! My wife has always told me I'm colour blind!!

My husband makes my lunch because I am lazy. He usually puts a note in it. I have these taped over 1/3 of my cubicle wall at work.

What is more beautiful than a simple sheath made an extraordinary way in a special fabric, and just two earrings?" revealed Hepburn.[102] Givenchy created her outfits for many other films, including Funny Face, Love in the Afternoon, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Paris When It Sizzles, Charade and How to Steal a Million (in which at one point her character is disguised as a cleaning woman and the male lead, played by Peter O'Toole, remarks that this "gives Givenchy a night off"). The designer was always amazed that, even after thirty five years of collaboration, "her measurements [had] not changed an inch."[102] Givenchy remained Hepburn's friend and ambassador, and she his muse, throughout her life. Hepburn observed, "I have many things in common with Hubert. We like the same things."[102] She agreed to model, on occasions, the creations of her friend. In 1988, when he presented his summer collection in Paris, she said, "Wherever I am in the world, he is always there. He is a man who does not disperse into worldliness. He has time for those he loves."[102] Givenchy subsequently created a perfume for her titled L'Interdit (French for "Forbidden").
She equally inspired fashion photographer Richard Avedon, who captured an intentionally overexposed close-up of Hepburn's face in which only her famous features – her eyes, her eyebrows, and her mouth – are visible. "I am, and forever will be, devastated by the gift of Audrey Hepburn before my camera. I cannot lift her to greater heights. She is already there. I can only record. I cannot interpret her. There is no going further than who she is. She has achieved in herself her ultimate portrait."[103]

I cleaned out a friend's fridge today. Instead of the cleaned out fridge, which was boring, here is the note I left for him to find.
I hope it will make him laugh.
This is a scan of a pic I took in 1982. I believe this is the inside of GP38 numbered SP 6538. Here is the pic of the outside of the locomotive. I'm pretty sure that's the one. I took the picture 25 years ago so I can't claim any precision on the information!
Um. My shoulders and neck have been killing me the last few days so thats again how I woke up today. I kind of just starred at things for awhile and did pretty much nothing most of the day. My head hurt really bad. I patched up a hole in some shorts. When Ryan said he wasnt coming over, and Chiara wasnt in town, I called up Andrea and walked all the way over to her house, we went to Hobby Lobby and looked at beads and such, I bought candy lol. And thanks to Jelly Belly jelly beans I think they should make pomegranate Dr Pepper lol. After that I went to my brothers for a while. Played a little of the new Dynasty Warriors, 7 I do believe. Its pretty rad lol. I played as Lubu (ofcourse) and he got a bit more badass lol. Its different but not in a bad way, I ended up kind of getting my ass kicked on normal but the stage rated a level 10 in difficulty so I dont feel bad, I killed like 2000 people lol it was awesome! It got dark so they took me back to the house. It was like 9, Angie asked me to do dishes so I did that. Now its about bed time, I just dont feel too well. Made a few plans today, if things go as planned Ill have a busy weekend.

Roscoff, le “coteau du forgeron” en breton, est, aujourd’hui, d’un abord facile, à deux pas de Saint-Pol de Léon, vieille cité épiscopale. En ce début de 3e millénaire, la hache de guerre est définitivement enterrée avec les Anglais. La langue de Shakespeare résonne dans les rues du vieux port, comme celles de Goethe ou de Dante Alighieri. Normal, l’île de Bretagne n’a jamais été si proche que depuis qu’Alexis Gourvennec et ses camarades paysans de la Sica de Saint-Pol créèrent la Britanny Ferry, comme un trait d’union entre trois nations séparées par les caprices de l’Histoire. Au port du Bloscon, de gros paquebots blancs attendent leur provende de touristes à destination des eldorados spirituels des Celtes.
L’ombre des contrebandiers…
Le passé, riche et prospère, est toujours là, visible, à fleur de cette peau grenue de vieux granite. La maison dite de Mary Stuart, se tient toujours debout face au nord, à l’île de Batz, à quelques encablures. Elle avait jadis les pieds dans l’eau, avant la rectification des quais et des bassins à flots. Elle n’est que l’un des multiples témoins de pierre des époques fastes, celles où Roscoff se livrait à un négoce officiel et… moins officiel, les deux participant tout autant à son insolente opulence. La contrebande. Mais la guerre de course aussi. Qui fit la fortune du petit port, chanté par Tristan Corbière, le poète maudit morlaisien, qui avait ici ses quartiers d’été et y vit un “trou de flibustiers” un “vieux nid à corsaire”! Pas étonnant qu’avec un passé si grand, les gens d’ici aient eu assez d’écus pour construire, de 1515 et 1545, l’église Notre-Dame de Kroaz-Baz, entièrement restaurée à l’identique. Roscoff, ses vieilles rues, sa maison des Johnnies et de l’oignon, son jardin exotique…
