La Bora sta spazzando, violenta, la laguna nord di Venezia. La giornata è serena e fredda, come accade nell'autunno inoltrato e le montagne si intravvedono all'orizzonte. Nei rifugi protetti dal vento delle valli da pesca gli uccelli attendono che cali la marea per volare alla pastura. Ecco allora che un gruppetto di marangoni minori appollaiati sui supporti di una chiusa somigliano alle note su un pentagramma ..... ..

This thunderstorm was becoming more defined as it strengthened.
National Weather Service had a severe warning on this cell as it was slowly moving to the east northeast. As we were east of Minden Nebraska and were finally able to pull out ahead of this cell.
We paused for a few minutes to absorb the moment!

A bit of a wide panoramic shot: well, it's not my fault Loch Shiel is 28 km long. Once again the loch was covered in a layer of mist this morning so I thought I would go up the hill behind our house and see how it looked from above. (I've added a note to the picture if you want to know where it is)

These pods hanging from the sycamore tree resembled a little like musical notes. The balls dry out during the winter and break open for the seeds in spring.
