A very creepy looking Gator peers out of it's pen. The Gator didn't move at all while I was there, which made it even more unnerving.
As well as a chicken pen, another feature of the garden was a large pond. It had several Lillies growing in it, this one was the largest & most striking.
With the studio all set up, the model Natalya took centre stage. She had certainly come prepared and began to put on a show with two large green fans.
The Airshow finished up with a performance from the Red Arrows. It was a great way to sign off the show & a good way for me to sign off for the next week.
I am off to Scotland tomorrow for the week. I am looking forward to it a lot, but I don't think I will have much access to Flickr while I am there. Hope to catch up with you all when I get back.
A view up the staircase at Southwold Lighthouse. I took this after descending the 113 steps down from the top.
It was a bit of a rushed shot, as there was a large tour waiting to head up the stairs. You can even see some of them here in this shot.
The local discount store up the road has recently become my photo muse.
There is all sorts of cheap tat in there which I have picked up for use as photo props. These shot glasses are just one of those props. Normally they are filled with some kind of noxious spirit. Here though, I filled them with water & used them for a series of shots, this one being the first....
The same cloud from the previous photo starts to move out to sea. The rain falling from the cloud does not look to have eased as the cloud has moved.
With all the Bank Holidays we are having in England at the moment, it would be easy to forget today is St Georges day. There was some talk about moving it this year because it co-incides with Easter, but it is always on 23 April as far as I am concerned.
When I was out & about today, I made sure to keep an eye out for a St Georges flag. I didn't see any for most of the day, but on the way home I finally spotted one. It was flying high on the top of a church in South Cove, a small village near me.
The fine weather made it look extra striking. It's also good to see one being flown for reasons other than the En-ger-lund football team playing (badly). I wonder how many of our 'gifted' national team know when St Georges day is??
A stepped back shot of the trees down my road just before the colour in the sky faded for the evening.
A very attractive colour contrast between the white blossom and the blue sky.
Apologies for the lack of comments recently. I have been adapting to the all new Flickr and had a few teething troubles. What are other people making of it??
The famous Forth Bridge which carries trains over it. The bridge was opened in 1890 & has since become a Scottish landmark - they even print it on their money.
I was stood at the bottom of the cliffs here looking upward toward Pakefield Church in the distance.
I liked the vibrant plant life colours here and the way they surround the church.
That seemed to be the look the dog here was giving me.
Despite the pleasant, mild weather I decided to stay on dry land leaving him to it.
I paid a visit to Redwings horse sanctuary recently. I enjoyed seeing all the horses and donkeys, and this donkey was right at the entrance.
I think he was acting as a greeter as he had a friendly face here.
A well maintained fishing boat on Aldeburgh beach, which looked as if it was about to put out to sea.
I went down to Laguna Seca late last month to check out the Speed Ventures track day and Radical Sports car and EXR races. I took a bunch of photos digitally (to be posted shortly), but also brought along a new-to-me old film SLR; a Nikon F-801s. I thought this was supposed to AF with all of my Nikkor lenses, but it wouldn't work for me; so pardon some missed-focus shots; I had to do it manually. If R1 is in the image name, it was taken on Agfa Photo Vista 200; R2 was Ektar 100. Taken with one of the following lenses:
Nikon 24mm f/1.8G
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II
Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR I
