I went down to Laguna Seca late last month to check out the Speed Ventures track day and Radical Sports car and EXR races. I took a bunch of photos digitally (to be posted shortly), but also brought along a new-to-me old film SLR; a Nikon F-801s. I thought this was supposed to AF with all of my Nikkor lenses, but it wouldn't work for me; so pardon some missed-focus shots; I had to do it manually. If R1 is in the image name, it was taken on Agfa Photo Vista 200; R2 was Ektar 100. Taken with one of the following lenses:
Nikon 24mm f/1.8G
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II
Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR I

A few weeks ago, I used a special light room at the camera club I attend in Beccles.
Having been inspired by that I set up my own lightroom - an upturned crate with a folded piece of paper in it. Once I had done that I set about finding objects to photograph. One of the first I found was this old digital camera. This camera was the first digital one I bought way back in 2005.
You can see my original lightroom shot from Beccles here
A view round the harbour at Gorleston over some of the town buildings.
In the left hand corner is the brick lighthouse which I got a closeup shot of here
A clearing in the middle of the woods. I like the way the light was being filtered by the trees here.
The lighthouse in Southwold is one of the most recognisable features of the town. It was certainly easy to spot the other day, gleaming white in the sun.
That's what these two skyscrapers looked like they were doing. Although the black building might be slightly taller, it can't really match the Gherkin on the photogenic stakes.
One last photo from the Earsham Hall shoot. Hayley the model poses on top of a Land Rover for a shot or two.
Keeping a beady eye on proceedings at the fayre was this handsome looking Falcon. He was one of several who were making an appearence on the day.
They were all being kept under a marquee, so I couldn't really get any shots of them. However this one strayed just far enough out of shade for me to get a photo.
Mac would like to extend his thanks to everyone who has wished him well during his recent illness. He is most grateful.
He went for a walk this morning and got on fine, Mac seems to have shaken off his illness completely. He is barking at dogs walking past the house, agitiating to play ball all the time & regularly demanding to go out for a walk. Definately back to his old self!

Most of these could be improved in Lightroom or whatever, and I may do that eventually, but I'm posting these raw scans as-is, because that was the point of shooting the film for me, and I'm spending plenty of time in LR for the digital photos anyway. ^_^
A cold looking scene from a nearby park. The pond may have been frozen over, but I still used the bridge!
After wandering the Square Mile, I hopped on the tube & headed for the weird & wonderful world of Camden Town.
I had visited Camden last year, but I was keen to go back & get another dose of it. When I saw this sign I knew I had arrived & I was ready with the D90 to get some photos from this wacky part of the world.
The next series of photos are from my Camden adventure & have all sorts of variety in them. You won't know what's coming next.......
One of a series of yellow cones in the water to guide all the boats sailing on the Broads. I was struck by the colour contrast.
This shot reminded me a bit of one I took last year, though I think this cone is actually meant to be here:
Mac is normally a very robust character who rarely gets ill. On Friday though he appeared to have picked up a stomach bug. He went to the vets on Saturday & was given a checkup. They seemed to think it was an infection which would soon pass. However he was still very ill on Sunday & today so he went back to the vets. He is now being kept on for tests & is on a drip as he was dehydrated (he couldn't hold anything). I am hoping the vet will be able to work out what is wrong soon & treat it. The house is eerily quiet without him, his presence is much missed, I hope he will be back soon.
If it wasn't for the sea in the distance, you would be forgiven for not knowing this was actually the beach.
Mac wasn't the only one moving with purpose. These two dogs came rushing along the beach toward us. They were very keen to make Mac's acquaintence.
All passed off peacefully and Mac didn't really pay them much attention.
I was in Woodbridge recently & had a very pleasant time there.
I made sure to have a walk near the river Deben, & the fine weather made it a most enjoyable journey. I made sure to get a few photos on my trip round, this being one of the first.
I wasn't going to get any beach hut photos while I was in Southwold. I have photographed them so many times before, it seemed a bit of overkill.
However when it came down to it, I couldn't resist a few hut shots. I did at least try to get a slightly different angle on them focusing on the tops of the huts here.
The mask finds a willing wearer and poses for profile shot in the grounds of the ruined Covethithe church.
Something a bit more racy here. This is another section of an old WW2 bomber, with a spot of artwork by the crew on it. I wonder who the girl was?
