An impressive looking web spanning upwards along a bush in the garden.
I did like the detail here, but I think the DOF is a bit too deep here. Not sure what other people think.....
This was taken in Norwich around the riverside area. I spent a morning wandering round Norwich taking in some of the sights & this was the first one I came across.
The water looks inky black in this shot which made for some striking reflections.
A branch that had been placed on the frozen boating lake in Kensington Gardens.
I liked the blue colour of the frozen lake.
I paid a visit to Trafalgar Square at the weekend. There was plenty to see as always including several street performers.
This woman was sat down in this pose for the afternoon. The silver pouch in front of her was for spare change. I don't know how much she had managed to make.
This photo made it to Explore on 29/01/2013 - Thanks for looking everyone.
I wasn't just looking for picutures of the vehicles at the transport museum, I was after a few candid shots of some of the people there too.
This guy was one of the tram drivers & I got a shot of him as he had just stepped off a tram. I think he may have spotted me getting a photo from the look on his face.
Past the entrance to the Wellington Pier is the main building where you can go for a spot of bowling.
The building is lit very strikingly at night & changes colour every few seconds. This was a shot of the pier in it's blue phase.
I got a photo of the pier earlier in the year during daylight hours:
As the sun finally rose, it coloured the edges of the clouds an orange/red colour producing a very striking tinted effect.

The Time & Tide Museum had a room dedictated to Yarmouth's heydey as a tourist hotspot.
Amongst the many exhibits in here was this painting depicting people on the seafront enjoying the beach.
The mask I was working on recently has had the finishing touches applied to it.
I decided to get another photo of it completed & used another as yet untouched mask to contrast. I thought a spot of mono processing would help too.
Mac always enjoys his trips to the beach & here it looks like it has even bought a smile to his face.
After getting a few shots in Yarmouth, I thought my evening of night photography was over.
However when I was driving back through Lowestoft, I had to pull over when I came across this.
This building is a new bar that has opened up called Iconic. I ended up taking several photos of it. The bar looked very impressive indeed with waterfalls and plush seating. I think I may have to go in and have a look - all in the name of photo research of course.
Iconic has been a long time in coming it was under construction last year & it was lit up then. I even got a couple of photos of it:
After the recent storms, the beach had altered quite dramatically. This was the scene when I stepped onto the beach the morning after.
I have passed through this station a lot to get to London, but I have never stopped to get a photo of it.
That changed last weekend when I had a day out in London. I made a point of getting a few photos of the station, especially the area around the large departure board shown here.
My reason for visiting London was to return to the world of the weird & the wonderful in Camden. I also planned to take in some of the buildings in the Square Mile. More on this tomorrow...........
One from the archives here. I took this a couple of years back on the Embankment at London.
I thought it would make a good post today after the sad news about Nelson Mandela.
