The exotic garden in Henstead might be familiar to people who look at my stream regularly.
It was open again recently & had more to look at than ever. This plant was one of the first to catch my eye. I liked the light on it and the green & white colours.
I came across this impressive looking Ferrari when I went to a country fayre in Heveningham.
Although there was a car show there, this was just in the visitors area & wasn't an exhibit. It reminded me of the time I saw another a Ferrari at Tesco
Unfortunately Bonnies owner is still unwell, so I decided to repeat my previous good deed & take her out again.
This shot was taken while we were out on a walk. Bonnie certainly enjoyed herself and posed for the camera again. Her original walk can be seen here
I have got a photo of the famous Scallop Sculpture on Aldeburgh beach before. It was looking particularly good on this day though, so I decided to get few more shots.
This one has the Scallops at a slightly different perspective. The metal looked a particularly attractive with the sun and blue sky against it - shame about the car in the background.
The only annoying thing was that there were children clambering over it while their parents watched not saying anything. The sculpture is artwork not a playground!
My orginal shot of the Scallops can be seen here
A colourful fishing net laying on Aldeburgh Beach. I liked the contrast between the colours in the net & the shingle it was laying on.
Near the church at Blythburgh is a path which lets you walk along the River Blythe. It is scenic walk & it was looking particularly good when I went as it was a fine day.
The clouds being reflected in the water were an especially striking sight.
I went down to Laguna Seca late last month to check out the Speed Ventures track day and Radical Sports car and EXR races. I took a bunch of photos digitally (to be posted shortly), but also brought along a new-to-me old film SLR; a Nikon F-801s. I thought this was supposed to AF with all of my Nikkor lenses, but it wouldn't work for me; so pardon some missed-focus shots; I had to do it manually. If R1 is in the image name, it was taken on Agfa Photo Vista 200; R2 was Ektar 100. Taken with one of the following lenses:
Nikon 24mm f/1.8G
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D
Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II
Nikon 300mm f/2.8 VR I
Most of these could be improved in Lightroom or whatever, and I may do that eventually, but I'm posting these raw scans as-is, because that was the point of shooting the film for me, and I'm spending plenty of time in LR for the digital photos anyway. ^_^
The clouds weren't so dramatic compared to previous sunrises, but I was struck by the 'rays' being given off.

This shot was taken on the ferry which took me from one side of the river to the pub waiting on the other side. It was well worth the trip as once I got to the other side I got to have a curry & an Adnams!
Apologies for the lack of commenting this week, I had a few internet problems. They should hopefully be sorted now, so I should be catching up with everyones photos.
The sun was shining right on these flowers, casting a great light on them. I was glad to be on hand with the camera.
Rustys younger companion, Matty has also been a beach regular recently.
He isn't allowed off the lead yet as he can't be trusted to come back. He did pose nicely for a photo though.
Charley clears another barrier with great style again. Her tail looks like it is helping her over as well.
After visiting the embankment I headed over to St Pauls Cathedral.
The area round St Pauls has a lot of very striking office buildings. I have already posted a couple of building abstracts, but I couldn't resist putting up this one as well.
One of my first abstract efforts for the year. This an upturned boat I saw on the beach, the surface of it had collected a few stones.
This could be messy for any passing Bees. This pollen heavy flower definitely deserved a close up shot.
