After a brief spell of rain forced me indoors, the next act I saw were these bi-planes with wing walkers on them.
I liked the way the orange colour of the planes contrasted with the sky. I also admired the wing walkers, though rather them than me.
An old tree that has fallen off the eroding cliff. It might be looking a sad for itself, but it made for a good photo.
After visiting the food fayre at Aldebugh, I was pleased to see there was another one on in Bungay.
When I arrived at the fayre though it wasn't the food that caught my attention. At the entrance to the fayre was a large red creeper which had very colourful leaves. I got a few shots of this creeper including this close up one.
This sturdy looking building was originally built to keep the French out of Britain! There are several Martello Towers along the coast, and they were designed in the 19th Century to repel an invasion by Napoleon.
These days most of them have more mundane uses. This one has become a holiday home. I wonder if any French tourists have stayed here.
Gable House is located out in the country at Redisham. It is well known for its attractive garden and a couple of times a year it is opened up for the public to look round.
It was open recently and I went along to have a look. This was the view that greeted me as I walked in.
I met Trigger along Southwold seafront. He was slightly annoyed as the rest of his family had gone on the beach & in the sea. As Dogs aren't allowed on Southwold beach, he had been left behind with Mum on the seafront. Hopefully a portrait shot made up for it a bit.
The paths round the college were very scenic & had well clipped lawns next to them. In the distance were a group of trees which I caught on camera here.
Near the cafes in my previous photo was an old antiques shop. It was fascinating to browse round & I couldn't resist getting a photo of it as I left.
Mac looks a little sleepy on our early morning walk. He soon woke up when the ball made an appearance though.
I didn't come away empty handed from the Raveningham Fair.
I spent a grand total of 50p on this striking glass apple. Once I got it home I got a few shots in 'The Studio'. The glass was looking good in the bright light.
A striking colour contrast between the bright red of the Arrows & the blue sky in the background.
This shot made it to explore for 18/08/2011.
This structure was put in place by the Swedish furniture company Ikea. The building in the background is part of village in Stratford they are constructing.
Ikea are no doubt hoping to captialise on the Olympics taking place there & all the interest that will receive. It will be quite interesting to see how the finished village turns out.

A collection of clocks & watches round the house. I never realised I had so many time telling instruments!
It's not just me who enjoys this time of year. Mac happens to be a big fan of spring as well.
It isn't surprising Mac enjoys spring so much. He can go in the garden more , play ball more & have a highly sought after run along the beach in the evening.
Here he is pondering what exactly he is going to enjoy most.
An effort from week 2 of my photo class. I have been learning how to play around with photos a little. This bear had a little softening applied as well as a sepia effect. This helped to create a more appealing portrait.
More striking effects courtesy of the sun. The leaves I liked the contrast between the dark background & the bright leaves.

Taken on a new years day walk. Mac waits intently for a ball to be thrown.
I get the impression this is going to be a common theme during 2012.
Norwich is home to a number of street entertainers. This one is a living statue of Charlie Chapling & he can often be seen on a fine day, putting on a performance (or lack of perfromance) outside Starbucks.
One of the other main entertainers in Norwich is the (in)famous Puppet Man. Sadly he wasn't there that day, but I have caught him on another occasion in Yarmouth:

It seems like Charlie Chaplin is a popular figure for Street entertainers as I also encountered him on the Embankment in London last year:
