December 2008. The Village Zendo's year-end sesshin, at Wisdom House in Litchfield CT. Seicho making a wish and ringing the big bell on New Year's Eve, Musho waiting behind her.
It's not 16 tons, but I'll take it! My New Year's resolution to get in shape for my cruise this summer is still in place. And yes, I'm surprised by it myself.
So far, I'm down 16 pounds, and today I'm headed back to the gym with my friend Cheryl. Finally have enough confidence that I'll stay with this that I can post.
Kevin Vennesland, a business support analyst at WorkSafeBC, began SFU Continuing Studies' part-time Diploma in Applied Project Management at SFU Surrey in March 2011, and graduated in August.
“Balancing work, life, and school was certainly a challenge,” he said. “Fortunately, the convenient class schedule helped ensure that I didn't get too far behind. Practical courses, engaging instructors, and a diverse group of students made the learning experience feel more like fun than work.”

My new years resolution was to quit smoking and exercise more. 37 days without a cigarette (after 30 years and 1 heart attack), 37 days of exercising and running, and today I completed my first 10K in 1 hour 2 minutes.
Start off the New Year with a healthy living resolution! Make healthy drinking decisions. Challenge: If you plan to drink this weekend, cut your intake by half.

Here's to you and yours this new year - I've been incredibly blessed this year and I'm excited for the new opportunities this new year!
This adolescent northern elephant seal (M. angustirostris) stayed with this female longer than he should with two lazy beach masters on either side. He seemed a bit surprised. Typically the giant schnozed beach masters chase these small schnozed males away. Not today. He stayed long and she complained as the females always do--for good reason. Good to be back on the central coast.
365/Day One
So. Happy New Year, everybody :) I was looking forward to a nice relaxing day, taking pictures, lying in bed and meeting Belladayys new man/camera ;)
Instead, I ended up having chinese for lunch in the Laughing Buddha, going bowling in Washingborough and rushing to take my photo before I had dinner :)
So, my only resolution this year is to start my 365 and complete it. My rules are that my days end when I go to bed.
If I miss an upload (which is possible), as long as the photo is taken on that relevant day, it doesn't matter so much.
I am not allowed to get more than a week behind in uploads.
It doesn't have to be completely self portraits. Inanimate objects are okay too :)
None of the pictures can be boring, mundane. I need to challenge my creativty!
So, Happy New Year, guys. Good Luck to my fellow 365-ers :)
