Hereios - New Years Resolution

I've learned to be realistic with my resolutions each year. I've given up on those impossible resolutions (lose weight, get more energy, find a girlfriend), so at the start of the year, I start thinking about places I want to go during the year. Naturally, the big trip is the summer vacation, and like I said earlier in the week, now that I'm not afraid of flying, that's opened me up to travel farther (and in less time). So where is it that I hope to go next summer?

went for a mile, wound up with five. Happy 2012!

First assignment of 2012. The theme is Fresh Start. So I'm on a health kick... Isn't everybody!?

I don't typically do resolutions. I have zero self discipline and commitment issues. So why set myself up to fail? For the sake of "art" I'm making a few this year. And since I don't want to doom myself to fail I choose not to work in absolutes.

I'm not giving up chocolate or eating sweets or anything as drastic as that. My resolution is to eat less crappy poor quality domestic chocolate (sorry, Steve but compared to Belgian, Swiss and German chocolate, Hershey's is poo...) and eat more of the good stuff.

365/Day One

So. Happy New Year, everybody :) I was looking forward to a nice relaxing day, taking pictures, lying in bed and meeting Belladayys new man/camera ;)

Instead, I ended up having chinese for lunch in the Laughing Buddha, going bowling in Washingborough and rushing to take my photo before I had dinner :)

So, my only resolution this year is to start my 365 and complete it. My rules are that my days end when I go to bed.

If I miss an upload (which is possible), as long as the photo is taken on that relevant day, it doesn't matter so much.

I am not allowed to get more than a week behind in uploads.

It doesn't have to be completely self portraits. Inanimate objects are okay too :)

None of the pictures can be boring, mundane. I need to challenge my creativty!

So, Happy New Year, guys. Good Luck to my fellow 365-ers :)

This weekly assignment is to capture the idea of the “new years resolution”. What was resolved to change for the better, in your life, that of your friends or perhaps just the idea that was thrust upon you by a well-meaning government/help agency.. (to stop drinking/smoking/eating excessively…etc).

I didn't actually make a New Years Resolution so made one up.

Drink Less - Broken

What it took.

One empty wine bottle (NZ Sav Balnc)

One old towel

Wine glass with a little wine

Sunny day

Front door step

Trusty camera

Take bottle put in towel and carefully break. Pick up tiny shards of glass that escaped towel. Artiscally arrange glass and broken bottle and shoot away.

Some post processing to bring out the green in the bottle (as not sure what doing fluked that a bit)

My New Year's Resolution. Oh... and subtract about 5 lbs for my camera and lens....LOL. Taken for Jennifer's Photo Scavenger Hunt
