This is a leather mask that has been hand crafted and shaped out of one piece of leather. I used metallic acrylic paint and freehanded the tree design. The base color is deep blue and the swirls are metallic bronze. The edging is painted leather bronze trim. The brown, gray, and reddish feathers look vaguely "owl" ish. There are a handful of Swarovski Crystals in blue and gold hidden in the branches.

Nice, quality, smooth leather painted with acrylic and it's ready to go! This mask is made from one piece of 7 oz vegetable tanned leather. There is an elastic chord that is easy to tie off for quick adjustments. One size fits adults.

During a short walking in the streets of Paris I found this kind of masks on the buildings. Is it a kind of art or a kind of political message? I don't know, but in 2014 the concept of mask was not exactly the same we hear everydays in 2021. By Edgar Barreira

This also is a Lego Bionicle mask that I blew up to make a close up and then edited it using a series of processes to arrive at the final image. Scary dude.
Raksha masks are traditional demon masks from Sri Lanka that play an important role in festivals, ceremonies, and cultural performances. "Raksha" means demon in Sinhalese. They have predated Buddhism for many years, and are associated with the Rakshasas, a mythical race that once ruled Sri Lanka and could shape-shift.
Masks have always been an important feature of the Venetian carnival. Traditionally people were allowed to wear them between the festival of Santo Stefano (St. Stephen's Day, December 26) and the end of the carnival season at midnight of Shrove Tuesday.
As masks were also allowed on Ascension and from October 5 to Christmas, people could spend a large portion of the year in disguise. Maskmakers (mascherari) enjoyed a special position in society, with their own laws and their own guild.
Traditional Venetian masks can be made of leather, porcelain or using the original glass technique.
On either side of the Temple of the Masks main stairs are a series of five stone masks. Originally there were six, but one was stolen. The faces are all representations of the sun god Kinich Ahau, although slight differences between them have suggested that each is also a portrait of a deified ruler.
The masks have conspicuously large lips and noses and the original colored stucco is still in evidence. They are are adorned with ornaments and headdresses. These masks are unique to Mexico. Two less impressive examples are at the Mayan site of Edzna. Archeologists believe that there was once some connection between these sites.
