New menu items at Doyle's in Jamaica Plain and Doyle's Pie, which is ground beef, mushrooms and pepopers, with Mashed potatoes on top, is amazing. Every one loves it including me!

This si sort of my take on a Chicken Tikka Masala sorta thing. I'm a huge fan of indian food and just sorta felt like playing around with some stuff. I'm not sure why I felt like mashed potatoes and green beans went with it, but it kinda worked. Quite tasty.

there *is* a story here...i originally ordered the broiled tuna dinner, which came with a potato side. fine, the mashed potatoes were perfectly adequate. the tuna, however, was tough and all too meaty for my "vegetarian-except-for-fish" liking, and so i ordered a grilled cheese instead. it arrived with a somewhat comical side of six french fries, all of which i devoured quite happily. all's well that ends well!
If you have picky kids, there's a good idea to take a picture of them eating once they have accepted a new dish, to show to them the next time, if they have forgot that they actually like it! :o)

I myself was a bit surprised by the question for my meal (ham) but they asked just about everyone if they wanted gravy. It was tangy and very very tasty. My suggestion is if they ask you need to say "YES!"

She didn't realize there were peas in the veg. Anyone who knows K knows she hates peas. She will dig them out going so far as to pull out specs of green that might be some other green vegetable but she's sure they're pea skin (or something equally evil of the pea variety). She was in mid Pea eradication mode when I took this shot.
