This was my nephews FIRST plate of thanksgiving dinner. He is big and solid....like 6'6" and more than 250lbs!...... I think........ and this was a light appetizer for him.
I put A-1 sauce and some shredded cheese on the cooked patties, then spread layers of mashed potatoes inbetween them. Since I can't cook, the potatoes came from the Central Market deli counter.

Sometimes the HDR setting on the iphone yields great photos, but often with the improved lighting comes a blueish hue and a slightly washed-out appearance.
Christmas meal included:
- Herb butter roasted turkey
- Slow-roasted turkey juice vegetables
- Mashed potatoes with bacon and scallions
- Mashed sweet yams with cinnamon and chopped walnuts
- Frozen peas
- Sausage bread stuffing
- White gravy
Not pictured:
- Homemade cheese biscuits
- Frozen corn
I'd never tried them before, the yellow meatballs scared me, but they were really good!

Our internet is down and I had to "borrow" a neighbor's wireless to upload my pics - don't want to stay on too long, but I'll comment on everyone tomorrow!!
I'm feeling much better - I slept until about 2pm (got up at 8, showered and changed jammies, went back to bed before 9, slept till 2, showered and changed jammies again, by dinner time I was feeling better)
Dad's Birthday dinner, although his Birthday isn't until April 25. I made him his favorite, Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Peas... mmmm
Step 1: peal & slice 4 big potatoes, put them on a saucepan with cold water and boil for 12 minutes.
Then put them into a bowl.
Paso 1: pelar y cortar las patatas, ponerlas en una cacerola con agua frÃa y cocerlas durante 12 minutos.
Después, ponerlas en un bol.

Hamburger steak, (with eggs, bread crumbs, diced onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic,) mashed potatoes, (no milk or cream - butter and salt,) mushroom and onion gravy, (reduced with a bit of butter, pan drippings, red wine, flour.)
Served diner style - all over the plate.
