While enjoying a wonderful walk this fall I began to notice how different each maple leaf was, different colors, different sizes some more attractive than others, some with more character than others, but at the end of the day they are all maple leafs Kind of like people we might all be different but at the end of the day we are all people and have more in common than not.

Saw this Maple Leaf back lit by the low sun and had to back up and get this shot! It is a Maple tree with Burgundy leaves.

It is an eye-friendly view.

Located : Okuhida Shinhodaka, Gifu prefecture. Central Mountains National Park.

.....this morning.

Both the house and the tree are probably the same age.

I have a lot to be thankful for.

These leaves were on our tree. Straight out of the camera, except for a crop.

The maple has changed for its autumn costume.

ODC- I Love To Watch

This Broad leaf Maple is now in Bud...yay Spring is near!

It's always fun to watch for the Maple Sap start running and this is the time of year for it. This Sapcicle was hanging from one of the tree branches and I loved how it turned orange like the morning sky. According to one man who manufactures maple syrup in Syracuse, NY (just north of me) Climate Change or Global Warming is making the sap run much earlier than it ever has before. He says down the road with the warm weather showing up sooner they may see it running in December...that's very early!

A shady corner of the garden with the Maple.

One of the best things I inherited with this garden. (Makes up for the one I planted in my last garden and had to leave.) Now I've had to leave it behind again, and nothing in my new garden to match it.

Passers by stopped and gaped at this time of year.

I like it better Viewed On Black

(Interesting how the colour varies with exposure -- with less, it goes so pink. -- my previous posting of this, taken 4 years ago, is so awful that I’m ashamed to show it -- probably ought to delete it, But it does show some improvement in selecting photos.)

(Tag “Maple” will expose it, if you insist!!!)

Designed and folded by me.

This was made for an event at my university. Comes from half a bird base and half of a frog base.

If you are Canadian, delight in this I suppose.

Thought I would take a shot of the iconic Japanese Maple in the summer time

I went to the festival this year again.

I like the color tone and the lighting maple.

One of the Japanese Maple trees in Normanby Park. The country park is home to many varieties of tree, with this one being a most striking example of autumn colours.
