This is why the our flag has a red maple leaf on it.

A strange thing to be seeing autumn leaves on Flickr when we have new leaves and flowers everywhere. I hope as the world becomes more connected it will be friendship that results. With grateful thanks to my friends!
This maple tree was in the middle of its autumn transformation and had so many colors! I wanted to get all of it in the frame while still capturing the colors.
Washington Park Arboretum, Seattle, Washington State, USA
A maple in peak color. Processed from a single raw file. The sun burst from the Canon EF 16-35 f4 L is amazing and adds an attractive point to the photo.
I saw this maple on the way to a restaurant. After lunch, I went back alone to explore for a composition. I tried many shots and finally found the best result from backlight lightening the red maple leaves. This experience reminds me that there might be a lot to explore in the neighborhood. You don't always have to travel far to get something spectacular.
“Maples Trees” never disappoint in the fall. It’s a shame that colors in Fall are only temporary. Using photography to safe what we love most about the four seasons. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe and be kind.

A poem lovely as a tree." ~Joyce Kimer
I just went back to the Oregon Coast, second trip this month, with some friends from Texas. On our way back we stopped in Portland and I finally got to see the famous maple at the Japanese Gardens. I see why it's so popular!
Third image in my Autumn Leaves series...
A simple capture of Maple leaves as they gently hang from their branches.
Red, purple, gold, lime green, and brown.
Even some blue here, with the sky shining through a gap in the branches :)

Un'altra composizione di geometria e semplicità. Una foglia di acero, ultima rimasta sul ramo, è quasi perfettamente inscritta nel cerchio del sole del mattino.
Foto scattata letteralmente dietro casa, qualche mattina fa :)
Buona serata

The Japanese maple is my favourite species of tree for photography. There is just so much variety in terms of the shapes and colours that these maples can produce. This is one of the most dramatic specimens that I have ever come across, so I couldn’t resist getting it at the peak of fall colours…
