Het kleine statief is de Manfrotto 785B dit is een klein en licht statief en de kop die erop zit is geschikt voor fotografie als voor film.
Doordat het een licht en klein statief is is hij minder geschikt voor een zware camera met lens.
Het grote statief is de Manfrotto 055XDB , dit is een professioneel statief.
De kop (Manfrotto 804RC2) is met grades en een waterpas zeer nauwkeurig te verstellen.

I had the Canon 540EZ at half power flooding a piece of foam-core, used as a backdrop. The flash was mounted on my old tripod(!) placed just out of frame left and pointed at the backdrop area behind the head. It was triggered optically from the ring flash. The backdrop was 4ft behind the subject.
I set the camera to 1/200 (fastest for the ring light) and adjusted the Fstop until the background went about one stop out of range, causing the flashing pixels on preview. I front lit this with the small ring-light at half power which I decided was the right power. The ring flash was mounted on my 50/1f8 lens attached to the 30D.
No photoshop on this, it's right out of the camera except for a quick crop to remove a bit of floor that crept in. The floor was sneaking in at the edge of the backdrop. At the distance it was the foam-core didn't quite fill the sensor.

My new tripod setup for use with long lenses at airshows ect.
I am hoping to aquire either a sigma 50-500 or 300-800 to use with it, or possibly a canon 600L IS.
My 1st use at Sywell went quite well, with the head moving fluidly, although its going to take a litle while to fully get used to not hand holding for action shots.
D2X with 28mm Nikkor and remote trigger attached to a Manfrotto 303SPH, using Manfrotto leg set 755MF3 having built in bubble level and adjustment
It has a ball head which is released and tightened with the handy handle. You can also lock the horizon for level panning in 'VIDEO' mode. It clicks back and forth easily. Because you can lock the pan and horizon with one hand, you can quickly rotate to 'portrait mode'
