Due to other priorities and commitments, I was only able to get this shot up now, although this was taken a few months ago in May.

MacRitchie Reservoir is a great place to to get away from the noisy parts of the city, for some peace and quiet. During blue hour, it is surprisngly not very crowded at all, so I was able to experiment as many shots as possible in different settings without too much difficulty.

Alas, I was not able to get a good sunset that day due to very cloudy weather, but the blue hour view more than made up for it.

A fabulous sunrise. Taken during workshop with two lovely clients . The reflections introduced interest for the foreground, and

the two colors, pink and blue dominate the frame.

Considering the weather we have had this weekend, I was quite pleased to get this shot after venturing out this afternoon.

A bitingly cold wind across the hills meant it was a brief time outside the car and despite this being a heavy crop, came out not too badly!

The deeper the blue becomes, the more strongly it calls man towards the infinite, awakening in him a desire for the pure and, finally, for the supernatural … The brighter it becomes, the more it loses its sound, until it turns into silent stillness and becomes white. (Wassily Kandinsky)

A Devonshire bluebell wood looking pretty spectacular as the setting sun casts long contrasting shadows across the lilac, blue and green carpet.

...tried the Manfrotto tripod.....

better in large!!!!!!!

An adult dunlin in breeding plumage shows the distinctive black belly which no other similar-sized wader possesses. The winter dunlin is basically grey above and white below. Juveniles are brown above with two whitish "V" shapes on the back. They usually have black marks on the flanks or belly and show a strong white wingbar in flight.

Following an overnight wildcamp above castleton I stopped off at Ladybower on the route home to find her presented in all her glory....

The waves were pretty rough but once i put that 10 stop ND filter on it calmed everything down and gave me this beautiful picture.

Mandarin duck the adult male has a red bill, large white crescent above the eye and reddish face and "whiskers". The male's breast is purple with two vertical white bars, and the flanks ruddy, and he has two orange "sails" at the back (large feathers that stick up like boat sails). The female is similar to the female wood duck, with a white eye-ring and stripe running back from the eye, but is paler below, has a small white flank stripe, and a pale tip to its bill. Both the males and females have crests, but the purple crest is more pronounced on the male.

“when the Rabbit actually took a watch out of its waistcoat-pocket, and looked at it, and then hurried on, Alice started to her feet, for it flashed across her mind that she had never before seen a rabbit with either a waistcoat-pocket, or a watch to take out of it…”

Lewis Carroll (Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland)

“quando il Coniglio effettivamente tirò fuori un orologio dal taschino del panciotto e lo guardò, e poi si affrettò ad andare avanti, Alice balzò in piedi, poiché le balenò nella mente che non aveva mai visto prima un coniglio con un panciotti con taschino né tanto meno con un orologio dentro al taschino...”

(Lewis Carroll, Le avventure di Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie)

After a long wait of wanting to go here we finally went. The weather said it will start clouding over as the sun starts to set. The beech was very busy but managed to take this while it was quite. Just a few seagull streaks in the sea instead.

About to start a long exposure session, to capture the Pink Granite Coast at sunset
