The B2 LRII Really Right Stuff Clamp screws right into the threaded holes on the clamp with on the holes using the brass safety catch. I have to take the plate off the gimble to quickly clamp it to the new RRS foot, then I slide it onto the gimble.

As I put it away the locks went "Clunk Clunk Plink".
'Plink' sounds are usually bad. :(
Note the corrosion...I've not been cleaning it nearly enough after being near the sea.

Today was the first day of actually running in my activity course. After that I went with my girlfriend to Starbucks to where I had a pumpkin scone and a Trenta Iced Green Tea Lemonade. Diana got the brownie cheesecake and a grande iced vanilla spice latte. We then headed back to school so we could go to our classes. It was the second day of Photography II and we spend time setting up the studio while also learning some of the basics about studio lighting. After school I went to Best Buy and picked up my new camera messenger bag. This is the second Manfrotto bag I have purchased and will continue to buy them since they are really good quality.
Finally got around to setting up my umbrellas, lights and backdrop. Photograph of my new stick thin girlfriend - Mrs Manfrotto. Who would ever have thought that I would get so excited about such a gift. Its awesome
Retractable, spiked feet are always welcome for extra stability.
My work horse for years forced into early retirement due to carbon fiber technology.
I finally bought a decent tripod/head. The tripod is the Bogen 055XPROB and the head is the 488RC2. I have only used it twice so far but I love it. It is much more stable than the cheap Velbon I was using before. It is very usable and easy to adjust into whatever position I want it.

Here's the EOS 5D with the EF 24-70mm 2.8L and the 580 EXII SpeedLite all mounted on my Bogen 3021 Triminor Tripod with the Manfrotto 3055 ball head.
I was shooting some macros of stuff on my dining room table. It's a testament to the sturdiness of the tripod that it so firmly held this gear. The EOS 5D is much heavier than the EOS 400D, and er, so is the lens.
Took this shot with the XTi and the kit lens:
