No other ketchup TASTES like Heinz -

 

We’ve got to admire Heinz – they’ll do anything: offer any nutty cooking suggestion, kidnap any unwary foodstuff. “Blushing Apples’ – really? This is an innocent baked apple anointed with ketchup and then dunked in more sugar and water. Fiendish. Bizarre. But we’re impressed.

Miracle Whip Pizza - Have you seen the new Miracle Whip ads, featuring cool dudes strumming guitars and talking about how Miracle Whip is, like, awesome and unique, and proud to be different? Shelf Life thinks these guys are hot, so we would totally make them this recipe.

This dramatic cover was created for a special issue focused on kids. The provocative younger model's expression seemed to say it all so we broke from a typical cover line format in lieu of the one to tease the reader in.

 

:: Comments and/or criticism is welcomed ::

Prunes – the food that time forgot. Judging from the number of prune-driven ads in magazines from the 1930s-1960s, prunes were overlords. Now they’re not even players. Guess that patented Del Monte ‘moist, sterile heat’ thing couldn’t last.
