Mark Richards shot a very large museum collection of various computer relics spanning centuries. All the artifacts are housed at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif.

Design-wise, I just wanted to emphasize the photography and history, make it look clean and authoritative.

Photo by Christopher Griffith. Apparently they had to delay the shoot because McDonald's only sells fries after 11 a.m. If anything is an all-day snack, I figured fries would be it.

Has anyone heard of serving tip #3, the grapefruit cola? Frankly, we’re a little scared.

Come Treat Your Family To A Taste Of Canada - Aylmer - The people in this ad are dressed like extras from Anne Of Green Gables, The Prequel, because (a) they are conveying the message that Aylmer recipes are wholesome and time-honoured, or (b) they’re in disguise. If we can’t spot their true identities we can’t blame them for that cake thing that contains creamed corn.

Small items but fun to design, (usually) relying only on rule structures and typography to make it look elegant or interesting

Wanted to do something special for this story profiling B.E. Thompson's amazing weight loss. Loved the idea of putting his "before" shot on our cover instead of the more expected "after" picture then having the cover split to reveal the results. Made for a great flipping!
