Another shot from the set of make-up photography I did with Becky. The first time I've ever tried lit, model photography and the first time I've ever used off-camera flash aside from one tester at the weekend.

All these shots were taken in an ad-hoc studio in a small kitchen with a low ceiling and cream walls.

Hi everyone!

Yes, I'm back, not with a 365 this year but a 52 Weeks Project, which doesn't mean I will not be posting more than a photo a week but I want to take it really easy this year, of course I want to continue improving my photography skills, but I also want to go back to my music and to finish some other little projects I have in mind.

So here is my first photo for this first week, playing with the macro rings, my 50mm lens, milk in a tequila glass and grape juice for the drops, yes, hahaha, I was playing with all that, first time and I think it will not be the last one but next time I will use some water colors for the drops and more strong colors, yes, I am already excited about the next tries...

Well, time to go to sleep, tomorrow back to the morning training.

Have a great week you all and an awesome year 2014!

Taking photos with the 50mm lens and the macro extension rings and then somehow a movie came to my mind but I wasn't sure if there was a tomato in it, so after google it I remembered it, the film was featuring a big peach :P

Do you know how difficult it is to create "custom" drops?, Yes, you read well, custom drops. I think this is one of the most difficult things I have ever done so far and yes I have learned a lot, specially to not do this in the evening and during week days, so if I try this again will be one morning during the weekend!

So here it is the photo for day 5.

Good night you all!

Hi!

well going back home after Crossfit and thinking on my today's photo I decided to photograph this flower that I found in the street, very small and dirty as it was a wild street flower but somehow cute, and well, took my macro extension tubes and did some shots, yes, I know, kind of last minute shots and day by day more boring shots, but somehow I am not that motivated, hopefully this will change soon...

Have any of you ever tried taking a close-up of your eye -with a macro extension tube?

That's what I decided to do today, but I'd forgotten about the extremely shallow DoF and very, very soft focus. On top of that, I couldn't look through the viewfinder and control what was going to be in the picture, for obvious reasons, for obvious reasons.

So after O don't know how many attempts, this is what I came up with.

One more stacked macro tubes + 55-200mm + X-T1 test shot of tiny, tiny flowers.

.

Quick test shot of a poinsettia, using the stacked 16mm + 10mm AF Extension Tubes on the X-T1. I'll try them separately for the next test shoots.

I used the XF 55-200mm lens and noticed that, when the lens is manually focused, the subject(s) come into focus at the 135mm focal length. Wonder why? :)

Hi everyone!

Here my today's photo, to be honest I had another idea for today but I couldn't complete it so I took on of my alternative shots and here it is.

Cutting my kiwi I noticed that the center of the kiwi was kind of heart shaped, so I decide to take some macro shots of it.

The lower part of the photo is not really focused due to the effect of the macro extension tubes.

Well, can you see the heart here?

Good night you all!

Hi everyone!

Today a macro shot of a moth, lets say I did a kind of photoshooting at one in the morning hahaha, yes, I was watching tv and then decided to go to sleep and when walking to my sleeping room I noticed this little fellow hanging on one of the walls, I tried to put it out of my apartment but it started to fly and finally landed in front of the mirror in the toilette, so I went for my camera and the macro extension rings and well, started the photoshooting, here the 3 photos I like the most.

Have a great Sunday!
