I made this hand held - very tricky, because the fly was moving fast on the glass, and the DOF is very shallow with this macro combination. Finally, the fly stopped for a drink, so I had a little more time, to take some photos. OK, 1 of 10 photos was good enough focused.

Ta to Linzy for sharing the 'how to do this' link - its great fun!!

I guess that's what I get for picking flowers along the road.

First time it happened was when I picked this pretty bouquet of wild flowers.

It turned in to be the nest of several larvae and I had to chase several little green buggers around my livingroom.

And now it's happened again...

Last week I picked this lonely flower close to where I picked the wild flowers - and now it's turned out to be a good breeding place for larvae as well :-(

I've had these Russian dolls for 10+ years and never noticed that they have braided hair down their backs.

(it's not just another food porn-centric for "Amanda Loves" shot - you'll see what I mean)

Same wall, different color in each shot I've just uploaded. Hmmmm.

Like the VCTOTW Elvis, but I made chocolate peanut butter icing instead of normal peanut butter.

Hi everyone!, posting late again, trying to get some time lapse shots again but without good results, also I was trying to contact my nephew Josh as today/yesterday 14. May is/was his birthday but seems like they are not at home and I just sow that they went to SixFlags!, I am very jealous :D

Anyways, here my photo of the day, this is also part of the coins I have as souvenir of my trips, this one is from the Czech Republic, but actually I am collecting this coins for my nephew and this one I forgot to give to him this last time I was in Mexico.

Well, now time to go to sleep.

Have a great night you all!

Seitan medallions, if you will, with curry sauce and a side of sweet potato casserole. I was one happy girl.

Pronounced ran-UN-kew-lus. The Latin name ranunculus means "little frog". The flower originates from the Middle East. They belong to the Buttercup family (Ranunculaceae)

Such a complex structure - there are so many textures and details, you are spoilt for choice of what to photograph!

Taken using macro extension tube adapter no. 3 (30mm) and standard 18-55mm lens. Lit with a desk lamp.

Trying out a 16mm macro extension tube for Sony E-mount.

The tubes produce sharper results than the close-up filters.

Neither can replace a dedicated macro lens, but they do create some artistically appealing effects.
