A book of matches from Sloppy Joe's, Key West.

Just had a bit of fun with this.. another of the Australian kangaroo paw flower heads plunged into the vase and backlit using an angle poise lamp. I liked the murky underwater effect it created.

Hi everyone!

Today a macro and very easy shot of one of my favorite ice creams, the cookies and cream, oh is really delicious, hahaha.

Lot of work at the moment but hopefully I will have time tomorrow to catch up and comment all your photos.

So, please be patient and have a great night.

Yes, some how I feel like chained with this weather and this "try" of cold I am having, and I don't want to fill my 365 with sport shots (also not with macro shots) but at the moment is the easiest to do, so I am sorry for this but I will try organize me better to have more time for the shots...

Well, I wish you all a nice weekend, I go to bed now!

Peace!

This is the inside of a phalaenopsis orchid, looks like an alien world when viewed this close.

Pronounced ran-UN-kew-lus. The Latin name ranunculus means "little frog". The flower originates from the Middle East. They belong to the Buttercup family (Ranunculaceae)

So many tiny seed like structures in the centre of the flower, encased by the soft petals.

Taken using macro extension tube adapter no. 3 (30mm) and standard 18-55mm lens. Lit with a desk lamp.

it's an appropriate title too, I burnt all the ends of the straws on the light bulb.....

My grandma never allowed to wipe spider webs out of the house, barn or any other place not to even mention killing those magnificent creatures. Although they have pretty bad PR (most likely organized by flies) they are little heroes who are catching evil spirits in their webs, so they don't bother us :)

I'm getting lazier these days, two group challenges in one shot.

HMM!

I'm on a "pie" kick right now, so that's what I wanted for my birthday dessert this year.

I've been wanting to make cupcake-sized pies for a few years, since I saw Lolo's on her blog. So I tried it with pumpkin pie on my birthday last week- they were basically the best thing EVER. I'll take pie over cake any day!

Of course it's not a daisy, but it reminds me of one.

SOOC + 1 in Comments (50mm)

H everyone!

Sunday, last day of the week of tests with my new Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens and well I decided to use the macro extension rings, actually just one of them the smaller (9mm) and here is the result. I think I will be using more this lens, I am really happy with it and there are still more things I want to try, like panning, long exposure, light painting and of course more portraits.

Well, hope you weekend was awesome!

Btw, Happy Fathers day!

Well, it will be a kind of sacrilege if not making this shot :),

Yes those are chillies, very small chillies but also very very hot, I think mom will do a sauce tomorrow but hopefully she will not use all of them... I could die if she does :P
