I know, I know… not a GUMBALL machine per se. That’s what we called them though, even when they were vending toys and not big colorful round gumballs. When I was a kid we weren’t “asking for a quarter for capsule toy machine, mom… please please please.” We asked for a quarter for the gumball machine.
When I was a wee little Nix I got my hand stuck in one of these machines and the fire department was called. I just had to let go of the pod and POOF I was magically freed. Haha.

What an extraordinary object. It was gigantic, the photo doesn't do it justice. Pink??? Way back in my childhood memories I have a very vague feeling I've seen something like this actually out in the fields. A bit more modern but not much. We lived next to a bunch of farmland from when I was five.
