I've been working on jig parts in front of this mill for two days now. I wish I could get more done with my time, but I'm going slow and careful, and a machining novice.
Ignore the wrinkles, partner, but here is your sewing machine cover. My machine is at my sister's house so I couldn't properly model it for you.

The old Katy railroad wound its way thru downtown Tulsa between building after building. The right side of the building in this photo was where it went thru at this particular location.
Really useful to have a cash machine in the shopping centre that doesn't charge fees for withdrawing money.

It's motivated me to finish the quilt that I pieced some 18 months ago.

I've also been thinking about a new sewing machine. The one shown here is a Singer 301 -- circa 1958. I love it, but it's very basic. Does straight lines, and that's it. Doesn't even have a zigzag stitch!
For a while now, I've been considering adding a second machine to my life. I'd like something that I can quilt with, and obviously, something with a zig-zag stitch. Quality is important to me -- I'd rather pay a little more, or get fewer features, but have a solid and well-built machine.
But, since I haven't used a modern machine in years, I'm not sure what else I want it to do.
Friends who sew and quilt -- what features do you use? What makes/models do you have? What do you like/dislike about your machines?
Looks like the machined the slot out by a rotating wheel taking bites from both sides and then the ends are drilled out. It left some burring inside.
