French macaroons by the wonderful people at La Baguette et L'echalote, located in Granville Island, Vancouver, BC
My first attempt at macaroons. They are for a unusual wedding cake with little 3 tier macaroon cakes. The finished cakes will have flowers on.
Still from my set of Luxemburgerli photos. They go very well with a hot brew of coffee XD

I love a nice amble along Lordship Lane on a Saturday , especially when the sun is shining. East Dulwich is made up of loads of independent shops so no W H Smith, Boots or Superdrug here thankfully. Most of the businesses are owned by individuals, not huge profit crazy conglomerates so the quality is very good as well as the customer service. It is quite unique and as an East Dulwich resident, would not want it to ever change.
Found these beautiful macaroons at a stall outside a bar/restaurant called Tippler...! They have a stand of "naughty but nice" goodies outside every weekend. I really don't like macaroons at all but think they make great photography subjects, especially with my new 50mm lens.
A chocolate festival in Bristol is my idea of heaven!
I stumbled across it on Saturday but didn't have my camera so it was a great excuse to go back on Sunday and have a brownie for breakfast. I only had 10 minutes or so there before needing to be somewhere else so was only able to take a few shots. I wasn't really happy with any of them really but one had to be uploaded as I was running out of time so this is one of the slightly better ones. It's a shame that the plastic casing is in the shot but it was quite busy there so difficult to get a good position.
These are pretty sweets although I've never actually eaten a macaroon. I always go for the chocolate!

Pretty but overly sweet macaroons (to be avoided in future) in a Warragul coffee shop.

These coconut macaroons are nice and crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. They do soften a bit if you eat them the next day, but they're just as good.
Easy to make (only 5 ingredients - mix and bake). No egg whites so my son can eat it.
Check out my blog for the recipe.
Allergy note: contains dairy and wheat ingredients.
