Last weekend we had a bit of a getaway - an overnight in the loft apartment above our favorite bar. My parents watched our children and we had all the time to ourselves... hasn't happened for a long time and now I'm hooked :).

My best friend, Frank Gramarossa, and I shared a 3rd floor studio apartment in the rear of this building from September 1980 to July 1981. At which time, he, his partner Steve Hannan and I moved to a second floor loft apartment at 22 East 22nd Street.

Our heat, hot water and oven have been out since yesterday. It is, shall we say, fucking COLD, in our large, drafty loft apartment.
Today, I am rocking my Grape Suit, mitts by the lovely Gwen, a shawl by the fabulous Ann, shearling slippers, SmartWool socks, two blankets and a giant pot of tea.
And since there's no hot water, no need to shower! There are perks to being unemployed.
Today, I plan to spend most of the day knitting, then meeting up with a buddy at a coffee shop for some job applications. Good day.

i wouldn't put the couch facing the brickwall. i'd put it facing the windows, or angle if off the brick corner so it faced the front door and took in this whole view.
Now days only a select few artists have the means to own one of these apartments and capture the north facing light

For Five Years I have thought that I did not have any Images Of Harrods Department store Within My Neglected Images Of London... I had in error thought that Harrods was located across the street from Parliament or Right In The Middle Of Piccalilli... so I could not spot the Store in any of the neglected Images... So how surprised that My Infamous Photo Acumen Actually did document the existence of Harrods five years ago (maybe it has been since gone out of business or made into a warehouse or a loft apartment complex)... But, whatever it is today, Harrods (I Think) had the World famous reputation of being the World's Greatest "Everything 99 (US) Cents Store and Refurbished Goods Discount Outlet." I understand that they later raised the Everything Price to $2.50 (US Dollars) but that might have been affordable for Mysterious Market Goods... Harrods had (I may be wrong on this) 16 World Class Michelin Rated 10 Star Gourmet Restaurants on Site that Offered Nothing On The Menu Except for Andy Capp Fries Bagged Potato Snacks... Had I eaten there, I would have enjoyed that Menu! (My Apologies to All, Especially Harrods If There Is any sort of silly misinformation in this bogus caption)

"Blue Street" . A wee watercolour of a make believe village somewhere nearby with lovely shops and such for the towns folk. I love doing these and imagine it might be a place we could live one day.

At the start of 2016, I plan on moving from Queens to Brooklyn into a new loft apartment, where I can focus on more ambitious creative ventures, and to have my own personal photo studio. To kick off the new year, I’d like to release a self-published coffee table book of my best toy photography and LEGO creations from 2011 to 2015. This photo seen here is what I’m thinking I’ll use as the book’s cover: I shot this on a particular Sunday night at the corner of 34th St. and 9th Ave. in Manhattan – using slow exposure with unfortunate strong winds all around me. I carefully balanced my Amish magnifigure atop a recycle bin, and successfully framed the Wyndham New Yorker Hotel in the background!

The Voegele Building celebrated its 120th birthday in 2017
Now an apartment complex, the building has been a part of Mansfield history since 1890, where the land was purchased and nicknamed "The Voegele Block".
In 1897, the four-story building was built by the three Voegele Brothers, William, Albert, and Charles. A building material office was located inside the building.
The early 1900's saw both businesses grow and Voegele & Dinning Confectioners expand to other states. Materials produced went on to help industrial growth in Central, most notably helping the Ohio State Reformatory.
The Karl Shafer Paper Company moved into the building in 1956. The building got its big screen debut in 1994 in the movie "The Shawshank Redemption"
2001 saw the building be redeveloped into a modern loft apartment, and now the apartments are no longer just for senior citizens exclusively.
