Last weekend we had a bit of a getaway - an overnight in the loft apartment above our favorite bar. My parents watched our children and we had all the time to ourselves... hasn't happened for a long time and now I'm hooked :).

With deindustrialization it began becoming primarily residential, when artists and other young homesteaders seeking relatively large and inexpensive loft apartment spaces for studios and homes began moving there in the late 1970s.[3] The acronym Dumbo arose in 1978, when new residents coined it in the belief such an unattractive name would help deter developers.[3] Near the end of the 20th century, as property became more and more expensive in Manhattan, Dumbo became increasingly gentrified. Joy Glidden is the Founding Director of the Dumbo Arts Center (DAC) and co-founder of the Dumbo Art Under the Bridge Festival, where she served as the Executive Director from 1997-2006. Using art as a catalyst for change, Glidden's efforts achieved successful development in Dumbo that is now a model for similar waterfront developments around the world.[6]
On December 18, 2007, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission voted unanimously to designate Dumbo as the city's 90th historic district. The Dumbo historic district consists of properties bound by John Street to the north, York Street to the south, Main Street to the west, and Bridge Street to the east.[7]
The bed, bedside lamp, chest of drawers, and writing desk are located in the loft, which is accessible by ladder.
Today I'm re-releasing one of my oldest products, the CyberGrunge left. Completely rebuilt from the ground up, with two TVs, a complimentary coffee table, drinks in the fridge ready to go, lights that switch on and off, windows that open and close and three stools with one basic sit animation.

The goddess Bastet was usually represented as a woman with the head of a domesticated cat. However, up until 1000 BC she was portrayed as a lioness. Bastet was the daughter of Re, the sun god. It may have been through him that she acquired her feline characteristics. When Re destroyed his enemy Apep, he was usually depicted as a cat. As portrayed as a cat, she was connected with the moon (her son Khonsu was the god of the moon). When shown as a lioness, she is associated with sunlight.

Those who've suffered the most terribly ---> in other words, the socio & economically disadvantaged, those sexually, emotionally and/or physically abused, the neglected & the abandoned children, as well as children diagnosed with Autism.

Finally got a chance to attempt some shots of lightning. It happened around 6pm on November 2nd, while me and my friend Dave were busy stuffing our faces with bacon in the loft apartment we'd rented for the weekend.
Ignoring it at first thinking it was just fireworks we soon realised that we suddenly had a panoramic view of one of the most active lightning storms i've seen in years! (The apartment giving us views from Whitby Abby, right over the town up to the moors and round to the sea at West Cliff)
This resulted in us running around like excited kids at christmas, Attempting to get the window open as wide as possible so i could try to set my tripod and camera up.
The best result i found was to wedge myself and the tripod in the window frame and kinda hang out the window (act first, think later kids!).
This was the FIRST shot i took! After this all i got was illuminated clouds at the lightening went through the clouds towards us.....then it all got a bit wild and sorta started raining inside.

So how surprised that My Infamous Photo Acumen Actually did document the existence of Harrods five years ago (maybe it has been since gone out of business or made into a warehouse or a loft apartment complex)... But, whatever it is today, Harrods (I Think) had the World famous reputation of being the World's Greatest "Everything 99 (US) Cents Store and Refurbished Goods Discount Outlet." I understand that they later raised the Everything Price to $2.50 (US Dollars) but that might have been affordable for Mysterious Market Goods... Harrods had (I may be wrong on this) 16 World Class Michelin Rated 10 Star Gourmet Restaurants on Site that Offered Nothing On The Menu Except for Andy Capp Fries Bagged Potato Snacks... Had I eaten there, I would have enjoyed that Menu! (My Apologies to All, Especially Harrods If There Is any sort of silly misinformation in this bogus caption)

Saturday morning in Louisville. Taylor acoustic guitar, fresh coffee brewed, sunshine pouring through my third floor window, missing home. Inspiring...
I had to make a very difficult decision recently. With the economy
sucking royally my freelance gigs have almost all but dried up, save
for a single, very loyal client. In addition, energy prices for this
winter are going up by some 20% (thanks, Pepco). For the past number
of months I've watched my electricity bill slowly climb, to around
$300 for a loft apartment.
I finally decided to start crunching some numbers and found the
culprit: my Mac Pro. It takes about 600W of power to run the machine,
which is far, far more than just about every electronic item in our
home.
So, I decided to sell it. The plan for now? Use my MacBook Pro until
Apple starts shipping the LED Cinema Displays. Pick up one or two of
those. Then, hopefully in the next few weeks, the iMacs will get
revised. At that point, I'll buy one and use that as my primary machine.
I just no longer need the power (or the power consumption) the Mac Pro
provides. Do I regret it? Maybe just a little. But I think in the long
term I'll be much happier, even if I no longer have bragging rights.
That said, a gentleman is coming tomorrow with $6,500 cash and is
taking the entire set up. Here's what she looks like on her last night
in my home, just about ready to be prepped for delivery to her new
owner.
