A bit of excitment along the south coast yesterday and today ... 2 extra large loads came through.

They had to travel a distance of 41 miles from the port at Shoreham to the Ninfield electric transformer station. The original plan had been to do the journey in a day ... but they only got as far as Lewes yesterday, just about half way.

Then today we heard they expected to reach Ninfield by 1pm today ... they came through Little Common at about 2pm and got stuck, delaying them another 30 minutes or so.

This was the first of the large loads.

I think they had the whole of the Sussex police force escourting them :)))

37 212 with 08 337 in tow heads south past Colton Junction with a very odd load. The coaches are probably condemned stock with doors and windows missing. The 08 was still in service (wasn't withdrawn until February 1987) and still has its coupling rods attached so this train would have been severly speed restricted even without the brake van on the back indicating an unfitted working. Then there are 2 Dogfish ballast hoppers, one loaded, one empty

Update - information received that the 08 was in the process of transfer from York to Doncaster

Who doesn't like to take a photo of probably THE most popular form of transportation in all of Walt Disney World. This is probably my most photographed form of Disney transportation and I bet I have hundreds of photos, most likely in every color. Is the monorail your favorite. Please enjoy and have a magical day!

I needed a cargo for this truck and it was either going to be a tracked log loader similar to this

(richardsmachinery.us/ads/john-deere-2454-d-tracked-log-lo...)

or a wheel loader

Seeing as these are made on LDD fiddling around trying to place track pieces is difficult so I went with the wheel loader version.

It was initially a Volvo 250H but while I was designing it became a generic log loader, maybe a mix of a few brands.

Some may have wondered what happened to my usual daily postings. My interest in modern railroads has really waned, to the point of only having gone out twice so far in 2022, and that was for the LA&L. Agricultural pursuits have become our primary focus lately. We have built up our flock of chickens, ducks, and geese to over 60 birds. Much planning has gone into this years pumpkin crop. I have been able to secure some manure from a neighbor that lives about 1.5 miles away. It takes me 30 minutes to make a round trip to get a load, since the tractors top speed is probably somewhere around 10mph. It then takes us about an hour to unload the wagon with pitch forks. We should have some happy plants in the garden this year, and with the price of commercial fertilizer having doubled, this also helps with the budget since it is free! Here our neighbor "Lumpy" loads my wagon up on the morning of April 30, 2022.

My mother's day present!

The yellow and black were loosely drawn from nature ;)

The hummingbirds have left for the year, but not before tanking up in the garden for their long migration.

Apologies for the poor photo, but I was pretty amazed by a yellow Irish plate!

CN ethanol load slowing heads out of the Kishwaukee River valley as they cross the Poole Road bridge near Irene, IL. The cold weather had the signal system acting up and they were running at restricted speed until they got their next clear signal just east of here. The NS 6814 leads on this frosty morning.

Walking up the beach I took loads of shots of the castle which were awful. Overblown sky and no detail in the castle itself. By the time I headed back the clouds were heavier but with occasional glimpses of sunlight to pick out the details.

Perhaps not that photogenic but I was pleased to finally get some shots at the loading bay at Gwuan-Cae-Gurwen (GCG). 66026 has just arrived from Immingham with empty hoppers on the 4V32 to load up with anthracite. It will take about 2.5 hours to load the train which will return to Immingham on the 6E09. Poignant, as this this is one of the last trains to GCG now that the coal reserves are near depletion.

I did a few changes to my Zetros truck last night, including the loader crane, so I figured I'd drop this here - mostly because these things are pain in the neck to build at Minifig scale without relying entirely on click-hinges and having them become completely flimsy.

The gun piece is just there as a placeholder, if you want to make it extendable you need another flange or +Rod piece. And of course the hook. ;)

The upper portion of the crane is based on Bobofrutx's design

OMFG! Incredible figures! Loads of great prints and new molds!

Here's a few uses for the figures I can think of:

Skeleton Man: Arms for Crossbones, Jack Skellington figure

Werewolf: Teen Wolf perhaps?

Classic Witch: Scooby Doo Villain?

Mad Scientist: Hugo Strange

Zombie Cheerleader: Harley Quinn Hairpiece!!!

Lady Vampire: Madame Vebb maybe?

All Zombies: Shaun of the Dead Zambees!

Moscito Creature/Bug Man: Killer Moth???

Gargoyle: Hunchback of Notre Darme Gargoyle

Lady of the Sea: Harry Potter Mermaid

Plant Man Guy Thingy: Poison Ivy Henchman

Bigfoot: BLOODY BIGFOOT!

Tiger Woman: Cheetah from DC Comics?

Ghostly Guy: Any Harry Potter Ghost or just any ghost.

Franken-Rocker: The Leader from Marvel Comics.

Business Zombie: Hair for 10th Doctor perhaps?

I somehow managed to come up with decent uses for all the figures! I guess I'll have to try and collect them all (like pokèmon xD)
