I've had the stars hanging on a another picture for years - they are metallic and foil and sit on the photo like a halo (ha!). BTW: this is me. I made a template of a star and then used it to cut out the photo. I attached the stars using Tim Holtz' tiny stapler - where it didn't reach, I used permanent adhesive runner tape. I generally use a single photo, title and my pages are 8 x 8...need to find a craftier way to add my journaling on a single page.
This was fun even tho' I did take license with the single word prompt
Clemmy gives us directions from the car park to the bus for the trip to Firenze (Florence). The bus was so large it couldn't fit in the castle's driveway!
How much gear can you pack into a Nissan truck with a tiny bed? Five pounds of stuff in a three pound bucket.

Why is it I can never take a nice sharp photo of my layouts? They are always a bit fuzzy and you can never read the journaling! And on this LO I used a really cute zig-zag stitch stamp all the way around that you can't really see. Sigh. Any tips or tricks?
Anyway, the LO is about how I got a frantic call from our dayhome provider that Grayson had sliced his head open. We both rushed and met up at the Alberta Children's Hospital which Grayson is no stranger to! The TV's and such kept him occupied while they stittched him up. Of course I was more worried and scared than he was!

This is my take on Five Item Friday.
1. One office supply – I used 2 baby binder clips to hold the journaling on
2. & 3. Two different patterned papers – the Family background paper, and the green patterned paper in the center
4. One border punch – I used a star border punch in the green patterned paper
5. Letter stickers, stamps, or chipboard letters – I used chipboard letters.
This was a great challenge!

Notice the blue bag (my golf clubs). The planes was thought to be overweight so some luggage was removed. It was then determined the plane was not overweight and the luggage was reloaded. My golf clubs never made it. They eventually turned uptwo weeks later at a Mexico City company who called me to make arrangements for their return.
Above the loading chute, they placed a small steel container that was lined with huge bag, and that bag was filled with the plastic pellets. Then the table that the container was placed on lifted hydraulically on the far end, resulting in the pellets basically dumping out of the container, into a large funnel, and into the trailer.
I missed the felling of the tree top branches and when the men resumed the following day it was to load these onto a truck with a portable crane.
I cannot tell you how good it feels to be starting the pages for my daughter's baby book. Get ready for seriously girly layouts!
I scrapbook to preserve memories for myself and my children and hopefully grandchildren, either way someone in my family will eventually end up with these books. I started scrapbooking after my father passed away five years ago, so that i could remember the good and funny times with him and then when my mother died a couple of years ago, i scrapbooked even more, I've done a huge family album with their descendents, there are a lot of us. Everyone in the family has seen and read it, a lot of journaling.
I've given some as gifts and the recipients all were thrilled and read the stories and were able to share the memories. That is why i journal.
This layout was when my two kids shared a birthday get together in February, their special days are ten days apart. Donald gave Iris a Brother/Sister picture frame and asked me to take pics for the frame. Iris was being her usual silly self and kept making funny faces while i was snapping the pictures. Just another special memory of good times.
I used stamps by Inkadinkado for the flourishes and the brackets around the word "Remember"

I started with this photo of my grandson with no plan in mind except to make it masculine. Tried assorted papers and wasn't real happy until I tore up a paper bag. The three dimensional
A" is a simple embellishment. The title was his name stamped over "genuine boy" which was an idea I saw somewhere. I joted it down in my notes. This was his informal Spring picture and I had a glimpse of what he'd look like when grown so I wanted a layout that reflected that. I think it's now one of my vaforites.
Day 2. I am realizing this week is going to be more chaotic than I thought. Ah, who needs sleep?!? Or sanity???
While I like this page, the title is lame. BUT. I searched for the letters I needed from a very old set of chipboard letters. I was lucky to find all the "correct" letters to make these words... so I went with it.
BTW I wanted to write the kids' names on the LO but it didn't really fit anywhere. So they're on the back... works for me!
