After a quick crew change at Dunsmuir, this northbound empty grain soon had made its way through Azalea. Like a lot of the Black Butte Sub, Azalea still has remains of code line, reminding one of a time when SP steam and diesels would’ve roamed these same rails. Makes me wish I was around to see the SP.

The Line - cartoon - comics - grammelot - Osvaldo Cavandoli - 1969

La Linea ("The Line") is an Italian animated series created by the Italian cartoonist Osvaldo Cavandoli.

The series features a man known as "Mr. Linea" (voiced by Carlo Bonomi in a grammelot similar to the Milanese dialect) drawn as a single outline of an infinite line, which encounters various obstacles during his walking, and often turns to the cartoonist, represented as a live-action hand holding a pencil, to draw him a solution.

The series aired in more than 50 countries around the world;due to the short length of episodes, it has often been used in many networks as an interstitial program, including in the United States.

From calm to almost violent in a matter of a few minutes while traveling in eastern Washington. The wind howled and the rain fell in buckets for about 10 minutes shortly after this image was captured.

On my first trip to Colorado in May 1983 our group was surprised to see a southbound UP freight on the Joint Line south of Colorado Springs. We hadn't expected to see UP in these parts and guessed it was part of the changes that occurred with the December 22, 1982 UP-MP-WP merger.

A local commuter train inbound to Philadelphia using the same tracks that are used and operated by Amtrak. Originally, these tracks were used by The Pennsylvania Rail Road (PRR). Before Amtrak took over these rails the PRR brought passengers to what in the Philadelphia area is called the Main Line described here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_Main_Line

"The line_up is a paperwork series I developed since 2010. The“liners” are made out of paper (Din A3),

oil paint and graphite, the theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers."

WINTER❄️

It tasted like more to go up at Le Prorel, Briançon with our ski pass without skiing to see the amazing views. Without knowing what I photographed I was surprised that this was a part of the Maginot Line so high up in the mountains🌞

I replaced the upload from a few minutes before with a panorama. After I looked back what I uploaded in 2013, I found out that this was a possible panorama of 2 photos. So I made it at once and now you can see the whole area with the wonderful mountains behind it, where it was snowing at that moment❄️
