Northbound Soo Line train #201 crawls through Kentland, Indiana on July 2nd, 1987 at 10:30 am with Soo 788-787-743, 113 cars and Soo caboose #52. Train had mixed freight on the head end, a block of loaded ATSF hoppers (which was odd) and trailers & autoracks on the rear.
In this photo, the train is knocking the northbound home signal down and will be crossing the TP&W and US 24/52.
Soo SD40-2 #788 was built by EMD in October of 1975.

Soo SD40 #743 was built by EMD in May of 1969.
I may not have seen the NYC's Egyptian train, but I got 5 solid years of Milw/Soo trains instead....
A northbound NJ Transit crosses the Brielle Drawbridge on the North Jersey Coast Line. The train is crossing the Manasquan River as the train approaches Point Pleasant, NJ.
Baltimore & Annapolis car #93 sits at the head of a line of interurban cars in the yards at Bladen Street in Annapolis, MD on May 30, 1946. Note the reflection of the State Capitol building's dome in the right side windsheild of number 93. In less than 3 years their services would no longer be needed. Amtraks eastbound "Empire Builder" is seen at Portage, Wisconsin on July 16th, 1992 with Soo 4603-Amt 367 and 12 cars. Having the Soo engine up front made it worth chasing....I would think that this wasn't too normal of a practice over the Soo Line at this time, so I'm guessing the train probably needed an engine enroute.
Soo GP40 #4603 was built by EMD as Soo #735 in March of 1967.
AMTK F40PHR 3367 was built by EMD in May of 1981.
This classic BMW E30 (325i) is the car I got as a loaner when I took my car in for servicing. It was surprisingly fun to drive!

Resplendent in it's BR blue livery, with small yellow warning panel, is preserved class 205 diesel 1118 which dates back to 1957. The unit is now formed of two coaches instead of the original three.
The unit is based on The Lavender Line in East Sussex, which is based at the beautifully restored Isfield station.
The railway this weekend is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the closure of the line from Uckfield to Lewes.

A line up of Hunslet locos on the 2ft 6in gauge system at the Trecwn Royal Navy Armament Depot on 27th June 1984. Left to right are unique to the establishment 60hp 4-wheel diesel-mechanical '722' (works No.6646 built in 1967), which had been transferred to Trecwn from RNAD Ernesettle, Devon, in January 1981, and 50hp 0-4-0 diesel-mechanicals 'ND3055 (Works No.2266 built in 1940), 'ND3061' (Works No.2399 built in 1941), and 'ND3062' (Works No.2400 built in 1941). These three 50hp locos, purchased new for use at Trecwn, were moved to MoD Broughton Moor in Cumbria in November 1984. upon the arrival of new Baguley-Drewry locos.

Naadam is the big festival in the Mongolian summer, where men display their strengths and their buttocks in the three manly events: wrestling, horseracing, and archery.
The events are certainly manly, but the jockeys in the horse races are kids, and women are allowed to participate in two of the events : archery and horse racing.
The legend has it that a woman once won a series of wrestling competitions, and ever since, the costumes that wrestlers wear are open in the front to prevent such a scandal from reoccurring.
Sam the Seagull got ahold of some bad potato chips. Normally, he has no problem scarfing up chips, but, he thinks maybe the previous bag owner didn't wash their hands. Anyway, Sam has the squirts and can't do his normal beach bombing raids. Fortunately, most people don't look up and Sam can stand in one place and pepper them!
