Bakerloo line circuit 227 rolls into platform 3 at Queen's Park with the 07.28 from Elephant & Castle to Harrow & Wealdstone.

Queen's Park is where northbound Bakerloo line services rise above ground, having run in tunnels under central London. Initially they arrive into a four platform station area which is covered by a glazed overall roof. There are two island platforms which provide cross platform connections with London Overground services that run between Euston and Watford Junction. Approximately a third of Bakerloo services terminate in platform 3, and when all passengers have alighted, they run forward into two dead end sidings in a four road shed at the north end of the station. Non terminating services continue through the shed, and immediately afterwards join the Network Rail metals used by the Overground services. Bakerloo services continue through Willesden Junction to terminate at either Stonebridge Park (where there is a Bakerloo line depot) or further onwards via Wembley Central to terminate at Harrow & Wealdstone.

Queen's Park station also has uncovered platforms on the Slow lines of the West Coast Main Line. Currently these two platforms are not served by London North Western services. There is also a two road shed for stabling Bakerloo line 1972 stock at the south end of the station.

Steams through East Hills station in the suburbs of Sydney with a heavy train of 390 tons at about 90 kmh. Normally green, streamlined Pacific 3801 was painted lined black for a a short period . After being repainted in green, it then reverted to its original unlined grey. It is now green again, and on Sunday 12 November 2007 it makes its last run for the year, and for most of next year as it will be overhauled after running for 20 years since its last major overhaul. On Sunday it will going out in style as it will run parallel with 4-6-0 # 3526.

“People spend too much time finding other people to blame, too much energy finding excuses for not being what they are capable of being, and not enough energy putting themselves on the line, growing out of the past, and getting on with their lives.”.... J. Michael Straczynski

I know this makes it look like I have 10 billion pillows on my couch (I only have 3), but it was the only way I could stitch all the photos together.

There are so many dolls in my house that the couch wasn't long enough to hold them all. There are 22 dolls in this picture, the sculpts are on the picture under each one.

The Watercress Line is the marketing name of the Mid-Hants Railway, a heritage railway in Hampshire, England, running 10 miles (16 km) from New Alresford to Alton where it connects to the National Rail network. The line gained its popular name in the days when it was used to transport locally grown watercress to markets in London. The railway currently operates regular scheduled services, along with dining trains, real ale trains and numerous special events throughout the year.

Mark Lynn and Dan K were not the only ones out and about chasing trains on the old Milwaukee Road. WAMX 3928 and WSOR 4003 are in the hands of Adam, Ted, and AJ with a 58 car T007 at Blue River WI. The first 24 empties will be set out at ADM in Boscobel, and the 2 bulk head flats, 4 sand cars and 28 grain loads will make it all the way to PDC.

The WSOR PDC Sub was the first trans-Wisconsin rail-line which once reached from Milwaukee to PDC via Brookfield, Waukesha, Milton Jct, and Madison. At one time, a pontoon bridge located in PDC carried Milwaukee trains over the Mississippi into Marquette. This line then stretched across Iowa and South Dakota, eventually ending in Rapid City South Dakota. It's amazing to see just how much of the line from Milwaukee to Rapid City is still intact. At one time, passenger trains use to zip across this line at 80+ MPH.

Those days are over through as T007 tip toes over the 1911 vintage stick rail at 10 MPH. The Prairie Line is one of my favorites for it's diverse scenery and cool bridges. Around Blue River, the tracks curve to the southwest before entering bluff country. This will continue until the line ends at PDC, where the Wisconsin River dumps into the Mississippi.

print it out or digitally add to it. crop it or keep it going. join the line up of suspects.

If you want a copy without the lines let me know....

Line H7 of the MÁV-HÉV network is a really special one: It's the only line that doesn't leave the area of Budapest, and some sections look more like a light rail system rather than a suburban/commuter railway. It's also the only line where the really old LEW-licensed BHÉV MIX/A EMUs are still in operation. In this picture, we can see a LEW MX/A EMU approaching Müpa - Nemzeti színház station with the beautiful view of Budapest in the background.

With their days now numbered, 54041 SF57DPV heads the line up of Panthers getting the Saturday off with 54045 and 54043 behind. These are due to be replaced with Elites maybe as early as next month

The 724 was a new Green Line route in 1966 and for this service newly modified RF's were used. As an exception to my normal rule of only photographing the older vehicles I snapped RF193 at Parkside Roundabout, Romford on 29/5/67. I was impressed by the conversion of these RF's which was I think, a great success. The 724 was the first OMO Green Line route and was taken over by Leyland Nationals (not my favourite ) in 1973. The current Romford end of this route is now numbered 712.

Picture for the MacroMondays group theme on November 5th, 2012: Line Symmetry.

This butterfly is monochrome and the marking is very special and line symmetry beautifully. I have not joined the weekly theme of MacroMonday for a couple of months due to traveling a lot. Will spend more time on shooting macro.

Have a happy MacroMonday ~

Another rescan from the neg shows CTA Line Car S-606 and it's crew working in the Buena Yard along Graceland Cemetery in July 1971. This was the freight interchange between the CTA and Milwaukee Road. This area was later turned into a linear park and parking lot. S-606 was formerly Line Car 606 for the North Shore Line. CTA purchased the car after North Shore abandoned at the time the Skokie Swift was being developed.
