Vegetation and dumped wagons got in the way for some years, now is a chance to walk along the scrap line - no fancy liveries in easy view though.
1Z10 competition - 'creative'. For a short while the wagons and vegetation were cleared so you could walk along and photograph the scrap line through the fence. I think the 60s have since been moved on. Each image cropped and put together as if models on shelves.

A Greater Anglia 'Bittern Line' service from Sheringham approaches Cromer on 15th November 2019, formed of recently introduced Stadler-built Class 755 'Flirt' Bi-mode unit No. 755420. The Sheringham branch from Cromer is single track throughout, access to which can be seen by the crossover just visible at the rear of the train. The signal box closed in 2000, and is now maintained by the Cromer Signal Box Group, allied to the Sheringham-based North Norfolk Railway. I looked around for some objects I thought would relate well with these shadows and in the end looked in my art cupboard - one that rarely gets opened these days. I found a few coloured pencils and similar which I picked up rrandomly to place in the picture..

This is a major road connected to Shinjuku, but many cars do not run in the midnight. Because any shots was only a slightly lacking photograph, I combined four shots.

In splendid crisp early morning light, Jitong Line decorated 'QJ' Class 2-10-2 No.6911, the favoured locomotive for the passenger services at this time, leaves Lindong station on time at 8.10am heading the eastbound passenger service on Thursday 18th November 2004, by this time usually steam-hauled only between Daban and Chabuga. One of the two 'QJs' working a pick-up freight from Chabuga to Daban undertakes shunting in the yard beyond. This was the last regularly scheduled steam-hauled mainline passenger service in the world, and last steam-hauled on Wednesday 7th December 2005.

AN-8800 assurant un parcours Takanosu - Kakunodate sur la Akita Nairiku Line (Kakunodate, 19 septembre 2019)
Conrail C40-8W 6077 had newer GEs 6149/6152 and much older GP38-2 8056 along for the ride on a BUEN 1 nearing Dauphin on a sunny morning along the Buffalo Line.
I was out enjoying what Conrail had to offer on my 22nd birthday. I was not disappointed.
No ditch lights and code line. It was a good time.
Autumn. The season of olive trees harvesting.
This autumn I traveled with my family to our village.
The process of picking olives ends before sunset. I always carried my camera with me, because "golden hour" is my favorite time of the day, and my favorite time to shoot, so I didn't want to miss it. I chose to walk back home so that I could enjoy that soft, warm sun light and explore the area through my camera.
The green laser is visible every night and marks the route of the Greenwich Meridian across the Thames from the Royal Observatory.
It was a little misty on the Isle of Dogs side of the Thames that evening, so the clarity is not great, but it will give me an excuse to return :)
This is a panorama of three 20 second exposures stitched in CS6 and double processed in Lightroom 5.3.
I spent some time in Kentucky for the Thanksgiving Holiday and while I didn't get out much I was able to spend a day trackside. On the day after Thanksgiving CSX empty coal train E013 has Seaboard Air Line Heritage Unit 1900 second out at Guthrie, KY 11.29.24
