A line of green Ffestiniog Railway locomotives at Harbour Station on Sunday morning. From right to left we have Blanche, Linda, Merddin Emrys, Prince and simplex Mary Ann. There was some sunshine, but unfortunately it came just after the five loco line up had ended as they were moved into position for the day's services.
One of the more unusual vehicles to grace the B52 works service to the Omega Development Site north west of Warrington, was this former Brighton and Hove Mercedes Citaro, which operated the evening service on March 1st due to an acute vehicle shortage.
Owned by Gray Line, it was new to London General as MAL109 and worked for Go North East before heading to Brighton.
After we saw the movie and left around 9:30, people are waiting for the first seance at midnight, in line some costumes...
The Old St. John County Jail.
Built in 1891 it held prisoners until 1953. It was constructed by the Pauly Building and Manufacturing Co. of St. Louis, which would later build Alcatraz Prison in California along with several other jails throughout North America.
Conrail C40-8W 6081 was leading train Z413 westward on the B&O's Belt Line in Baltimore in a view taken from North Avenue in 1993.
At the time, Conrail was running over CSX tracks to avoid Amtrak's Northeast Corridor in the wake of the Ricky Gates fiasco.
Rebuilt Battle of Britain 34059 "Sir Archibald Sinclair" hauls its train up the hill into Horsted Keynes station as BR 5MT 73087 "Linette" waits with its van train on the stub of the Ardingley branch. Seen during a Jon Bowers/75H Charters photographic day at the Bluebell Railway.
Locomotives: Rebuilt Bulleid Battle of Britain Class 4-6-2 34059 "Sir Archibald Sinclair" and British Railways Standard Class 5MT 4-6-0 73082 "Camelot" re-numbered as 73087 "Linette".
Location: Horsted Keynes station, Bluebell Railway, West Sussex.
