I like to take pictures in fitting rooms. c:

I think she gets fed up of being photographed... BTW... Kitchen, again.

Ok it's time for something other then plants and ironically enough this was shot right after fading glory (www.flickr.com/photos/134361078@N06/19204212518/in/datepo...).

This is the extension tube I use for my om lens it's a 25mm. I liked how the rock complemented it. One thing I really like about my 50mm is that it seems to warm greens up just slightly, or that could be the haze filter on there. I find it kinda funny looking back how this almost has an add quality about it.

Ye i paid 5 dollars for my extension tube at a local photography store, it was a nice investment because it allowed me to get close up of flowers. It takes a bit more light to work, but it does not sacrifice picture quality.

SOOC besides adding my name in this. I took this forever and a day ago and am just getting around to uploading it now (Sorry!!!).

I couldnt decide whether I liked it better in black and white or color so I uploaded both :)

Lens cap mod to hold non SLR lenses. Permits small lenses to be recessed into the body of the camera allowing focusing on objects at greater distances.

Testing my new Sigma 50mm f/2.8 DG Macro. I love the razor-thin depth-of-field. It can focus quite a bit closer than I did in this shot.

tripod, two flashes, no OSS, 1:1 Makro, JPG out of RAW, no adjustments in LR (except lenscorrection)

smithjonesy: You certainly have my attention with all your exploits and subsequent captures.

Very solid bit of engineering. There's even an open and close screw to tighten the cap to the lens.

Is this CA normal/acceptable? The green/purple fringes behind/in-front-of the focal plane are a bit annoying...

This is an extreme situation though - practically as close as it will focus, wide open aperture, super high contrast subject.

just got a 60mm macro lens and this was the first shot i took

From a trip to Dungeness RSPB reserve during a week off work with the girlfriend. Whilst walking between hides we rounded a corner to see this little chap just as he fly up and onto a group of branches. I just managed to remove the lenscap and get myself sorted in time to get two quick shots before he flew off again

the little white light in the background is the window letting in dusk light... i like the soft tones the image has come out in... none of my recent images (the 5 being uploaded now) have been modified at all... saturation or anything... not that i'm opposed to digital modification (to a degree - not changing the essence of the image, but saturation, exposure etc is fair play by me) but it is special when you take an image and like it just the way it is... (lucky that... as i only started using lightzone like a few days ago... and so far the only function i know is "send" (aka, export) ... if anyone has links to any good tutorials for lightzone... please post them :-) i'm looking for a dummy's guide esentially... assume no knowledge of any photography / image editing software :-)

Just the lens cap for my 40mm f/2.8 lens!

"Do you need the lens cap daddy???)

While walking past an outcrop of white dolomite I recalled walking past a long-forgotten lens cap 30 meters back. These are the elements of Utata's Iron Photographer 196:

1 - something black (lens cap)

2 - something white (dolostone)

3 - shot in color (detritus and trees as proof)

Yes... this is the kinda' crap you do when you're bored at work. Ivan's crazy.

Pinhole Lenscap, I like the effect but I'm not a fan of the vignette.

Panoramic medium format pinhole camera, constructed from an iPhone box.

In this picture, the film is loaded, the shutter is open, light rays are streaming in through the 0.36mm hole and making Art on the 6x12cm rectangle of exposed film within.

Someday I will post full instructions for building your own iHole. They will begin:

"Remove iPhone from packaging. Discard iPhone"

See here for technical details.

Realising that there's a focusing problem with my 35mm lens, and thus beginning an attempt to get Sigma to fix it.

Still playing with my new toy. This is the lens cap of my "nifty fifty", shot with my 50mm 1.8 and the Raynox DCR-250 attached. The image is straight out of the camera and uncropped.

You can reuse the flocking of a 35mm cassette to reline a sloppy lens cap. Carefully pries the flocking from a used cassette and cut to size. Glue to the inside of lenscap with [ rubbery ] contact. Perfect for Industar 10, 22 & FED 50's as these lens's kill caps because of the knurling. Recycle, Reuse, Reduce.
