A bird's nest that fell of the tree after heavy winds blew at night. Luckily the young ones had left much before that. Canon lens cap for size hint.

My keyboard, mouse and my camera.
This photo was shot RAW, I don't like raw, it seems like it's a waste of space, I didn't notice any advantages of using RAW over shooting in straight JPEG.
Plus it's a pain in the ass to get my D40 to work with Aperture, I have to download a script that changes some data in the EXIF to trick Aperture in to thinking that the pictures are coming from a D70. Get busy on this Apple.
my September rules: something about moving away from home to start a new job
thought I would flip through omar calabrese's book, artists' self-portraits. the page is open to a 16th c painting attributed to raphael, saint luke painting the virgin.

The blue things on the right are Verbatim 16GB and Transcend 8GB SDHC Class 6 memory cards. And on the left an extra Li-Ion battery of 1250mAh.
And probably some more stuff coming in the future :)
I am getting very frustrated with my manual focusing. I have twiddled the dial on the viewfinder, but still don't think I have it cracked. :(
This is a 20 minute exposure of my lens cap ;)
This is taken with my Nikon D70 with the "Long Exposure Noise Reduction" turned off.
With Long Exposure NR turned on it's pitch black.
I wonder what the purple haze is?
My guess is heat from some internal electronic part???
149/365
So much of my 365 for this week is on film, been experimenting with my split cam! Soooo thats why I'm missing a few days. :)

I love my bed ♥♥♥
Lens adapter with basic UV filter can protect the lens from dust. Strongly recomended. On the other hand, if you want to use supermacro, you have to keep the filter clean. S3 can focus on the dust on the filter.
New Medium Format TLR, it has so many knobs and dials, it gets confusing.
It also has the special 'blue dot' 80mm f/2.8 lens.
Photos dont do it justice, its built like a tank, heavy, solid and pretty damn big.
Yet to take photos with it, still need to buy some 120 Film.
We named him 'Chuck Norris' :).

testing out an old manual focus 50mm f1.4 nikkor lens on the d200. input the right settings in the d200 and the metering system works fine. but of course, everything is manual.
need to get a new contact prescription, though, I think and manual focusing can be tricky without a split screen or at least focus screen designed for manual focus.
amazing how that lens still works as if it was new. I bought it for my old fe2 back in the 80's.
