Hee XD I'm not really that girlish type. ^^

Really happy how this turned out, although I did consider whether I've overdone it on the colour temperature. I do want to work on accurate colour technique but I think this was more appropriate for a vintage, dreamy feel.

Made a pinhole "lens" for my Bronica EC, using a Pentax extension tube set that screws into the threads of the Bronica. Simple thick-tinfoil pinhole, measured using my scanner for accuracy. f/369 is the aperture. Exposure is 1/2 sec in full sun, as you can see by the man moving in the background. Shot on Fuji HGII ISO 800 220 format film. See what it looks like in non-pinhole version here. www.flickr.com/photos/shampoo_cam/4667849334/

last year

Lens cap to my new Tokina 100mm f/2.8 macro.

Lens cap problem solved in 5 to 10 minutes with cardboard, sticky tape and a stapler. Protects against dust on the front element, so the lens shade can stay on permanently as long as the camera is not in the bag.

This is made for the lens shade of the walimex 85mm/F1.4, but I made another one for my 50mm lens.

The cardboard circle is cut to exactly fit in the opening. Then the tape is wrapped around, providing some durability and the tape also adds some tension by making the cap slightly larger then the opening.

This thing never falls out by itself.

fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maisons-Alfort

Macro Monday project – 01/23/12

“Monochrome”

I should be starting this practice exam, but I'd rather just take pictures to be honest.

The lens cap for the lens I was using to take this was a last resort for a subject. It's unusual that I will think of minor elements of a shot before I decide on a subject. It's usually the other way round.

Just under 5 minute exposure, various colored light sources were used at different heights while the roundabout was spinning to make the multi-colored streaks in the background.

My friend once more approached me to do some product shots for her. This time it's for the JJC Auto lens cap for the LX5. I get to keep the cap in return. :)

Same as the stand three photos ago… In colour this time.

Notice slight vignetting.. flash must be bounced and diffused.. this was shot straight on with the inverted dome on the Light Sphere off

I really like the way this all metal body feels. Including the lens cap. Can you tell I like this camera yet? Playing with textures. The "i" somehow disappeared. More fun in black.

fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89glise_Notre-Dame_de_la_Gare_(...

Comparison Silent vs. EFCS Mode.

Please note: These Images have been shot in completely dark with lenscap on lens. The originals are completely black.

In observance of Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 2013, which was this past Sunday 4/28/13, here are some pinhole pictures taken with my Nikon D7000 digital camera on that day. The pinhole "lens" is a drilled out lens cap. I also took some pictures with a Nikon N80 film camera, but I am waiting to use up the roll of film before I can develop it.

I haven't been out with the DSLR yet this year. The weather has been just terrible and the few decent days have been when I had to do other things.

Here's hoping for some dry days before too long.

These were found in my husband's back seat. While I admit that I have a couple pairs of black ones of my own, these certainly aren't mine!!

They're not my size!

Worse yet, they're not my brand!!

If he was going to Flickr with someone else, did it have to be a Canon owner?!?

A 58mm threaded Canon lens cap from my Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM lens.

It's every photographer's nightmare and the digital version happened to me:

Your card has been fine for months, faithfully saving every last picture you take of your blurry shoes or lenscap. You attend your dear dear friend's wedding with the intention of taking a bunch of shots as your gift to them. You do so. Some are so perfect at capturing the scene that you remember them specifically even though you took over 5G of photos the entire weekend. You check the next day thinking maybe to make a quick print to leave for your friend on your way out of town.....and the card reads as blank. No files. Full--SOMETHING is still on there--but blank.

A hat-tip to the free Zero Assumption Recovery, which got a few back, including this one (one of the ones I remembered). But a nice big plug for PhotoRescue, which got every. Damn. One. Back.

(And a whole lot I'd deleted over the last few months....)

Other wedding bits blogged here.

For Sabi ...

Remember, it's a Holga - if you haven't modded it in any way, then you're not doing it properly.

I love these Nikon lens caps.

They are such photogenic creations.

The natural one snugly fits the lens cap and the saddle tan case fits the hood (it's slightly thicker and larger). Wet moulded to fit each one specifically

Another camera from my collection.

For FGR's copycat day.

This is a copy of ~aspidistra~'s Homage to Eduardo, or was it Roberto???.

This is a Nikon LC-67, from my 18-105mm lens.

I want the Tamron 11-16mm lens she used though...

There were other photos I wanted to do but didn't have time - this used the same setup as yesterday :)
