I read a suggestion somewhere to take several photos of the same scene at different times of the day. This is a start as I only have two layers here.
Layered Raspberry Mousse
Served 4
1 Syn on Extra Easy
2 sachets of raspberry sugar free jelly crystals
2 tsp powdered gelatine
400g fresh raspberries
225g fat free natural fromage frais
1 tsp vanilla essence
4 tbsp sweetener
Place four wine glasses in the freezer to chill. Dissolve the jelly crystals in 150ml of boiling water according to the packet instructions, then top up with 400ml cold water.
Bring the glasses back out from the freezer, and place about 1/3 of the raspberries in the bottom of each glass. Pour in 1/3 of the jelly and put back in the freezer for 10 minutes to set.
Combine the fromage frais, vanilla essence, half the remaining raspberries, half the remaining jelly and the sweetener in a bowl and add this in a new layer to the glasses. Return to the freezer for 30 minutes to set.
Arrange the rest of the raspberries on top and pour in the last of the jelly. Leave in the fridge for at least two hours to set.
Different layers build a personality. Sometimes a shiny gold inside is covered by layers of cold steel.
This rings can be used with two or more layers. It looks great when mixed with other materials like gold.

Sunset time, sky becomes dimmer, mountain becomes darker. But the layers of mountain are still visible.
Heraldic glass in the church of St Andrew, Norwich. The Layers ( Laiers or Leirs) of Norwich were descended from George Layer of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk and Margaret Butifant ( Butefaunt). George and Margaret's son, William Layer, was sheriff of Norwich in 1526 and mayor in 1537 and his grandson, Christopher Layer was mayor in 1581 and 1589 and sheriff in 1596. Both were actually buried in the church of St John, Maddermarket.

We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.

I have been away from painting and music for a bit. I have the beginnings of a new painting that's been in my head for months. When I'm finished, it will go over the fireplace. A canvas becomes a piece of art in layers, like people. This is the deck off my music studio/room where I have spent many hours listening to the sounds of the birds in the morning or music I am in the middle of writing. Pandora was usually with me. In the warmer months I would leave the door open all the time so she could go out and sit on the bed here where sometimes I sleep.

This is how I added another layer of paper to the kusudama spring. Just a dab of glue in the center to secure it while folding.
The size of the additional square of paper can be varied and the results are pretty cute :) Do give it a try to add more depth to your models :) enjoy...

As the title says here is a layered background card.
I did Shari's technique of embossing the wheat, inked an acrylic block and then stamped with La Letter on top of all that.
I did Sue's technique of inking on vellum with the dragonfly from Antique Engravings and embossed the dragonflies with clear embossing powder.
I inked some ribbon to go with the card.
I used distress inks and alcohol inks on this card.
The card that inspired all this is one of Shari's cards seen here.
