I have always liked color, and it seems to still be that way......I also like the layers from front to back ground.
´Til i got proper HDR merge software, i tried to create some kind of "HDR-like" picture. Didn´t work out the way i supposed but a nice picture anyway ;)
The theme this week was to keep the image simple and use kk_awake as the texture. This is a glass frog I only used a gradient layer mask and some cleaning up with black/white brush in the mask, then a touch Topaz Lab Adjust 5 filter.
I was inspired by my friend Kailash to make this spanish language partial cut out card from a Gina K stamped background.

The many layers of dirt, clay, rock amd molten rock below the surface of Earth tell us of its development, remind us of diminishing resources, and give us probabilities of future change by studying fissures and fault lines. An understanding of its make-up helps to understand the amount of time it took to form.
Our mind is not much different. Our thoughts, memories, remorse, and joys are layered within our memory. The intricate layering in my mind reminds me of what was, makes me aware of what is, and provides avenues between the layers so as to dream of what may be.
Layer cake is a cake consisting of multiple layers, usually held together by frosting or another type of filling, such as jam or other preserves.
Whoa, these took forever. Mix and fold and divide and color and stir and chill and bake and cool and bake and cool and bake and cool and spread and assemble and chill and glaze and chill and glaze and chill and cut.
The result? 100% worth it.
I've been looking for a good recipe for these cookies since my aunts passed away over a decade ago. It's worth the time and effort to carry on this tradition.
(Oh, and in case you're wondering, as I was - the seven layers are comprised of the three colored cookie ones, the two chocolate ganache ones, and two layers of apricot jam spread between the cookie layers)
