Commission piece I did for a friend of mine (this is her grandmother). This was fun, but kind of difficult, as far as the set up and prep work went. Lots of computer time. Still had a fun time doing this, as I always do! Nice portrait of a beautiful lady!

Layers of leaves leading to our courtyard pool. A capture in close-up and selective DOF.

Black Butte Lake was really low. There was just a thin strip of water surrounded by mud. I thought this picture contained some interesting layers with the dark blue sky at the top fading to a lighter color towards the hills, the background hills form another layer, then the closer hills form another, then there's mud, water, more mud, then finally dry beach.

This is a rotated copy of an earlier post. I have been using it to try out "Layers" in PS. I combined it with a texture posted by Loraine Davis This is the result of my first effort at using layers. Thanks for the texture Loraine. View On Black

Mount Kerkeslin, the highest mountain in the Maligne Range in the Canadian Rocky Maountains.

Seen from the roundwalk around Jasper, Alberta.

I love the way that the snow is accentuating the distorted strata in the mountain.

Layers of mountains give a interesting to airial perspective.
